ENGAGEMENT RINGS! What does yours look like?

My mom gave me her ring right before she passed. I showed my jeweler and she mentioned that that the setting was dated and it was time to upgrade. It is a 5 carat center stone with smaller stones on either side set in platinum. It fits into a 14k gold band. She wore this every day. For fancy occasions she would pair the ring with a huge starburst guard. I gave the guard to my daughter since she always loved it. Me, not so much. Anyway, any suggestions on what I could do with it?

I’d love to see it without the gold part, would you mind posting a pic?

I have collected a few engagement rings preloved (some I have redesigned)and these are my favourites. The YG pendant was my original engagement ring.

That's a great idea to make the original into a pendant - that way you can wear it alongside another e-ring too. Over the years, I've gotten into the idea of multiple e-rings. Sometimes I want a change/different look, and sometimes for travel I want something simpler and without prongs to catch on things. The square shapes you have are very eye-catching - thanks for sharing.
