OH I think it'd be fine! I'd actually love to add some long baguettes/bullets to my solitaire and I still plan on stacking fun eternity bands w/ it!

My 1.25 stone is set in a classic "Tiffany" style with one baguette on each side. It is a little dainty. I'm debating on saving for an upgrade or resetting my original. I definitely want more "bling". How do you think a round 1.25 in setting I described looks next to eternity band worn on same finger made up of all round stones. I'm thinking the side baguettes don't compliment the eternity band. I really want to "love" my ring the way many of you on this forum do!

I think the side baguettes won't detract from the round eternity band, but if you're concerned you should try it on with your ring.

I understand wanting more bling!! If you don't love your current ring maybe it's time to start saving for that upgrade?

At that price I would not be comfortable with VS1 (Very Slightly Included #1). I wouldn't settle for less than VVS1.

Also I think G/A is really GIA (Gemological Institute of America)

Swanky - I value your opinion so much! I'm glad you think it would look ok for now. I really want a 2 carat but with 3 kids (one starting college in 1 and 1/2 years), I just don't know if I can do an upgrade anytime soon. It is my dream though. I am not going to invest resetting my rings. The money saved will go into upgrade savings instead! I wonder if it takes me 2 years to save, will I not get as ahead because the price of diamonds might go up a lot in 2 years. Do the prices stay around the same over a long time or are there dramatic increases?

I think it's hard to predict where diamonds will be in two years, but I don't think there would be a dramatic increase. Others chime in??

I had a 1 ct. princess cut VS1 I and upgraded to a 1.8 RB VS2 G ideal with halo pave.

im not going with a matching wedding band either ... i want a quite fine band of micro pave diamonds ... and then when my FH feels generous we can get another band to wear on the other side ... i cant wait to get my wedding band ...
