Emeralds on Angelina Jolie at Oscars

Those are drop dead gorgeous and it brings such focus and color to her face...it is so simple yet chic...I love her style!!!!

i thought the emeralds were an interesting and awesome choice for her. im glad she opted not to wear a necklace against those gigantic earrings, and i loved the ring. the black was a simple and elegant choice that made the green pop, but the dress style wasnt my fav of hers

DIDJU notice that, ladybug? NO ONE wore necklaces, except that one chick w/the gigantasaur neck cuff. And then that was so over the top, it kinda balanced out everyone else NOT wearing anything. weird.

I thought the lack of neck bling on the whole was different, but it worked out for most, in contrast to the finger bling and cuffs.

You know what...I didn't notice, but that is true, only a few had on necklaces...

Ha...great observation. Its really funny when you say it like that!!!!

I didnt really like the neck cuff (or bib) and I could have sworn the wearer looked a little self consciece about it. Maybe she looked around and thought....OMG....my stylist told me that everyone would be wearing neclases!!
In some ways the neck cuff was obviously beautiful jewels etc but I felt it was wearing her and a little try hard.

But anyway, its really funny and maybe she was trying to balance out the average!!!!

I loved her earrings. They're insane. I make a lot of jewelry using chandelier crystals, and I have to tell you, if you love them you can get the crystals for under $2.00 at GSPN crystal.

Just a tip.

OMG -- I loved these earrings! I was assuming they were jade because they were so big, but I should have known better. Emeralds!!!! Love the look with the simple black dress.

That was the most amazing combo I've ever seen. The black was very understated but of course with the ring and earrings the color just made her whole face go POP!!! It really goes to show that sometimes less is really more....

She strikes me as the most fiercely independent actress and personality. She doesn't follow the tried and true or plays it safe, she goes her own path! She carries off that gown so well and it takes a lot of effort to keep that poise. The emeralds suit her independent nature.
