Emerald Ring or Rolex?

I'm a sucker for emeralds, so I'd go with the ring!

Thank you everyone. I haven't picked an emerald ring. I can only afford up to 11k. I have a nice watch (Cartier Gold tank) but I thought this would be a good "casual" watch. I mean a "really good" casual watch. i'm considering the 31 datejust with a two tone band and a colored face and a wider link on the bracelet with a fluted bezel. But ... the emerald...the ring would have to be lower quality because the clear beautiful emerald stones are much more than my budget. Maybe I'll do nothing. But I kind of want to commemorate this with something really special.

Buying emeralds can be tricky plus they are a soft stone...not good for everyday wear.

I definitely say Rolex. I love mine and wear it every single day. Also, Rolex hasn't had a price increase since 2012 so I'm sure they are due for one pretty soon, and Rolexes do hold their value - just check out the used market on them - pretty good resale!
