I've seen Elle in person twice, in LA and London (I know - so random), and she doesn't seem to wear any makeup out and about... I can confirm she is definitely very pink and pale! I think they must slather the makeup on her as I rarely think she stands out as particularly pale on the red carpet but IRL she is definitely noticeably pale. And that's me seeing her in LA and during this past summer in London, both times I'd expect a person to be slightly tanner than usual.
