Elady sold me a fake red Balenciaga bag (N tag)

Thanks for informing. I have never bought bags online yet out of fear. But last few days I made up my mind to try after reading so much success stories from TPF members. eLady was recommended along with a few more resellers. So I have been looking at preloved Hermes as I was told by Hermes members here that leather I wanted are no longer available. PHEW! Luckily I was still doing comparison between few bags! THANKS!

I recently purchased an Hermes Kelly watch from Elady. Got it in the mail today and it looks questionable [does not say Hermes on top of lock]. The authenticate this section of the Hermes forum is no help, they don't authenticate watches and refuse to point me towards anyone who does. I have purchased lots of LV from Elady, always have it authenticated by Caroldiva and have 0 problems. This watch is making me nervous though. Very expensive to return to Japan, too. Very irritating to be in this position with no way of figuring out if this is fake and I wasted a lot of $$$.

If you are keen to keep it, have it authenticated by bababebi. I'm not sure if she does authentication for watches though.

It's definitely less expensive to return it than to keep a fake Hermes watch.

Since there are questionable parts, you can always ask for a free return postage from eLady.

No problem!

I find their dishonesty appalling - it may be their mistake/oversight to list a fake bag, but to re-list it for sale despite obvious evidence is a serious lack of integrity....

Wow! Now that is some audacity on display by Elady! Thanks for letting us know. I am sorry for your unpleasant experience. Hope you don't go through such an ordeal again!

Thanks! I just messaged her through her website, we will see if she authenticates watches. Fingers crossed!
If that doesn't work out I will return, can try my luck with asking for a return label. If not, I think I'll bite the bullet and pay for return shipping.

I came across eLady on eBay because I wanted to buy a watch from them.

As I was searching for the same item on other platforms and hoping for lower price, I accidentally found this thread and learned that people are concerned about authenticity of items eLady sells.

I became quite curious about it and I decided to dig a little deeper into eLady's business and what IACC is all about.

I'll let you be the judge of information below.

PS - As for me, I was convinced enough to finally buy the watch from eLady but it was already sold out by then.

After the fake balenciaga city incident with eLady, I do take all these online reviews on luxury resellers with a BIG HUGE pinch of salt :sweatdrop:

My advice to anyone remains the same: always get your items AUTHENTICATED before purchase. :police:

If you have to buy without any form of authentication - since eLady doesn't provide additional photo request for specific parts on the bag - then pay with Paypal for buyer's protection. Get your item authenticated with 3rd party authenticators once you received it. Paypal offers 180 days money back guarantee. And you can open a case with Paypal in case of dispute. Always request eLady for a return postage mailer and don't trust their words on refunding postage - they won't honor it.

I do agree that their items are attractively priced but I'm done with them.

I simply WILL NOT BUY from any reseller with SHADY selling tactics.

GOOD LUCK!

Gosh ... Lucky that I read this site. I almost bought Cartier bag from them today without authenticating.
I mean they seem genuine, with all those memberships ... and so many praised this shop.
I guess prior authentication is still a must ...

Hi, I just happend to find this thread as I just noticed an eLady Balenciaga bag for sale and warning bells went off as I recalled that name. I have joined PurseForum so I could add my story to warn others. In 2018 I received a fake Balenciaga motorcycle Classic First bag from eLady via Le Prix. It was a headache to deal with the situation. They said they would re-authenticate it and if deemed authentic would provide an authenticity certificate. I declined and was expected to pay shipping from US to Japan (it was not noted initially that it was coming from Japan). After a lot of back and forth I was sent a shipping label.

It was not a slightly used bag, in fact it was a brand new counterfeit(!) A very detailed copy made out of an ugly leather down to the tassels. They had tried to be sneaky by saying gently loved, marks on handles etc but when I requested a better picture (prior to purchase) of the damage they sent a very dark, low res image... pointless.

LePrix were polite but it took many emails to rectify the situation and receive a refund. I advised them to cease business with eLady. By the way eLady would not admit it was counterfeit and proclaimed to be leading anti-counterfeiters. I know these bags inside out so can spot fakes. I did read at the time that eLady are ok with LV bags so maybe they just fail at Balenciaga.

I recently bought another fake Bal from Vestiare Collective but it was Direct Shipping so had not been pre-authenticated. It was a very well made counterfeit but I just detest fakes. Aside from being illegal, stealing unique design work and promoting deceptive trading, I ltruly appreciate the beautiful materials and craftmanship in the real thing. VC were excellent at return and refund even though I was out of town so late with my return. I will continue to buy from them.
