I'm listing my ASbbesses messenger bag on ebay but I'm waiting until late July early August when people will be going back to school and the probability of it selling will be higher.

 I am sooo happy they are from a fellow PFer! Small world, init??

I'm happy I SOLD to a PFer! While I was listing my three auctions I thought to myself, "It would be pretty funny if someone from the forum bought my stuff." And hey, what-do-ya know, it happened! Well, congratulations on your purchase! :smile1::amuse:

I would say lower your price a little, not too much as you don't want to be way out of pocket.
Perhaps try researching completed auctions of the bag to see what they sold for?

You say it's up for $700?
One suggestion is to start it at $699 - this would get people interested (It's a psychological thing, people automatically assume they are getting something for much less than $700 because in general they read the first number first)

Do you have a reserve on the item?

Next suggestion is - You can revise the listing and start the bag really low (pence) just to get people interested and bidding, and put a reserve on it so you still get the price you want.

And finally...with 18 watchers and over 2 days to go, you still stand a pretty good chance of getting bids.
Good luck!:flowers:

Don't lower the price just yet. Most of the people that are eBay pros bid in the last few minutes.

This is true...but isn't there a time constraint? I know that one can't edit their auction at all when it gets down to a certain time. Does anyone know how long??

It's all about timing! Do not lower the price or devalue because you'll regret it later. I know you needed the money but I feel that it's better if you wait. Someone who appreciates your bag WILL come along and buy it for a fair price. Hang in there!!:flowers:

That made sense to me. I know if I were a buyer the first thing I would think is "Oh it's not quite $700...that makes it all okay!" Then I would realize how dumb that sounds:rofl:. Anyways, I just lowered the bid price to $685, and the BIN to $695.

You can pull it at the last moment, but the price is fair and you have let people know that they can offer less. Just be positive and as the Japanese say "Shogenai" (just let it happen) GOOD LVCK! I can't wait for the cards. Your pics are great!

Thanks about the pics! I always hated when eBayers try and sell a really expensive item with like...2 pictures. I always try and get every angle, and every possible picture.

I would not lower the price. All of my expensive items have always been bid on in the last few minutes, always. Don't freak out, wait and I think you will sell it in a mini bidding war, especially with that many
watchers. Good luck and let us know what happens!
