eBay Non-Paying Bidder List

I'm not sure if she's technically a npb because she did pay, but once I shipped, her attempted scamming started. I videotape packing at ups/fedex (not at home) and document everything but buyers don't know this until they attempt to defraud.
eBay buyer Mavstyle5 has now changed her name to pureluxboutique. After the experience I had with her, I'm assuming it's because she has ruined her own rep under her former name. I hv recently had an influx of difficult buyers using threats and intimidation. This one in particular bought 2 items. Once I shipped, she insisted I drastically reduce the price of a 3rd item. She purchased the first 2 items while I was asleep without asking a single question. She was so unreasonably demanding and threatening that for the first time in 15 years, I had to have ups intercept the package and send it back to me.
Sellers beware!

NPB: imissu (zero feedback)

Made an offer and I accepted it and then messaged to say she decided not to buy. Replied to tell her it's a binding contract and then she said that's not what she offered. Told her if she thought it's technical problem she should message eBay. Then messaged me she would just buy it and then disappeared.

BLOCK!

Not a non paying bidder but PITA and very rude!
he made me offer on some shoes, I accepted his offer. He immediately sends me message stating that he said he wanted me to send them for $10. I apologize said there was no way I can send shoes priority for $10. Then he said if I can't change the shipping he won't pay me until May 21st at 12pm because that's his payday! ERR!!! WTH!!

Your buyer is acting like a total JERK....

I am just curious though... NOT for this sale, but, in general...

Is this an American Domestic sale?

I ask, because I always thought that there was a Priority Flat Rate option
available in the USA...

I'm in Sweden, so I could be wrong.. I just notice that American Domestic
shipping is getting to be CRAZY... and I would consider $10 to ship shoes
to be pretty high... Of course, I am thinking of women's shoes... :D

lately, I see sellers charging $15 to ship within the USA, items that
are somewhat light weight and not that big. Like dresses for example $15
to ship a $20 sun dress to be REALLY expensive.
This is within the USA.

I am seeing it more and more, and wondering if shipping prices have exploded
recently. :smile1:

There are priority flat rate boxes but there isn't one that fits a shoe box, so you have to pay by weight and distance. Since shoes usually weigh quite a bit, they are one of the most expensive things to ship. For example a 3 pound box going from California to New York costs $13.52 if the postage is bought online. At 4 pounds, it costs $16.28. This is why a lot of sellers sell the shoes without the box.

Dresses can be folded and crammed into a flat rate envelope, but they will get pretty wrinkled. Once I was able to fit 3 pairs of junior jeans into a flat rate envelope, which ships for $5.75. I learned the trick here on the forum.

What makes it worse is buyers who think you are gouging them for shipping charges since they don't realize how much it costs, and the costs just went up again.

ETA: on the other hand, many sellers are clueless about the options that are available and might pick a more expensive option without realizing it. I've had two recent purchases where I had to educate the sellers on how they could ship to me for their quoted price. They both tried to invoice me for a larger amount than was in the listing. They had used ebay's calculated shipping but when they got ready to ship, they didn't know how to pack the items to ship it for that cost. On one, I had to teach the seller to use first class postage for lightweight items, and on the other, the seller didn't realize it was cheaper not to use a flat rate box when we are in the same state.

yes it domestic sale..it says he's from North Carolina.

These shoe's are Nikes that once belong to my brother. The only flat rate option is the large flat rate box. As the shoes will be shipped in the original Nike Box. The Large flat rate is $16.00..it will unfortunately not fit any other flat rate box. I tried to explain this to the buyer in very polite & professional manner and even offered to let him out of the auction but he was still a jerk so I stopped communicating with him. I will just let it go to NPB.

I think everyone should block this eBay buyer id:
mandeseeta
She purchased a necklace in December, 2014 and I sent it to her via Registered Mail to her country, Mauritius. She even left a positive feedback after she received it.
5 months later She filed with her credit card that the payment wasn't authorize by her and it wasn't her who bought this item. I emailed her many times through eBay and she never responded to any of my emails or pleas to remember it was her who bought it. She ignored me all the way.
I complained to eBay and they said they can only watch her account activity and nothing else.

PayPal closed the case in her favor.
I called USPS and explained the situation and the rep said it's really too late but registered mail is the safest method because the package has to be logged in at every step of the way so she can try to see if they can still locate it.

Today I received all the papers from post office in her country and a copy of her signature on the custom papers from the book of the delivery.
I emailed them to PayPal and called to appeal my case. Two different representatives said it's too late and case is already closed and its out of their control when it's a charge back filed with the credit card company and seller protection doesn't apply in these cases!!

So I called for the third time and said I have evidence of delivery and if PayPal wants to ignore me I have no choice but to file a small claims against PayPal who promised sellers protection but now is just giving me bunch of excuses.
Within 5 minutes I got an email that charge back was decided in my favor
Now I don't know if this buyer is getting away with a free necklace or PayPal will go after her.
But there is no doubt in my mind it is dangerous to do business with this individual.

Seller protection would apply if the order confirmation showed that it was eligible for seller protection and you shipped to the confirmed address with a trackable shipping method - currently for Paypal that is priority mail international. I don't know if they provide tracking for that country.

I'm glad intimidation worked for you. I know how impossible it is to get the information in the 10 days they give you.

Thank you whateve. Yes I shipped to address in PayPal and it said seller protection eligible. But two guys from PayPal INSISTED sellers protection does not apply to this case because buyer opened a dispute with her credit card and not them.
Registered mail is trackable on line but in some countries it doesn't show the delivery till the very end which was my case but it is still carefully logged and registered. So if there is a problem you can request to see evidence of delivery.
It took USPS two weeks to send me a copy of the signature log book along with a strong letter confirming the Mauritius post service has confirmed the delivery of my package.
I really first thought the buyer may have forgotten she charged this amount and disputed it. However, after I wrote to her so many times and reminded her of the feedback and everything and still she didn't reply to me, it was obvious what she was trying to do.
she probably didn't think I can produce copy of her signature. eBay is watching her now and so I thought should all of you nice gals here. :smile1:

Those guys in Paypal weren't being truthful. I just had a customer open a credit card dispute with her credit card company, claiming it was unauthorized. That seems ridiculous since the purse was delivered to her house, along with a note that said "thank you for your purchase." All I had to do was upload the tracking number. The tracking number showed it was delivered so paypal released my money to me. The case is still open but I was told that even if paypal loses the dispute, they won't take the money from me.

When you ship international it is harder to prove delivery. Paypal's rules usually require that the proof of delivery is viewable online. This is another reason I'd rather use the global shipping program.

I'm glad they reversed the decision and I hope mandeseeta didn't get a freebie! Although you aren't allowed to leave contradictory feedback for the buyer, are you still able to reply to the feedback she left for you with an update? (Don't mention anything about the dispute; just mention that "months later, buyer lied and claimed unauthorized purchase.")

As for PP and what they told you, it's common that even though you're protected, you have to fight for their protection. They repeatedly try to get out of honoring their promises of seller protection.

Hi BB,

That's a brilliant idea! didn't cross my mind. I just did it but most likely no seller will go back that far to see it. It is really sad that mandeseeta tried this. From her fb it seems she mostly shops for jewelry. so everyone please be careful. I consider myself very lucky this time. Paypal is not the most honest business in practice either :-(
