E-ring dilemma: switch or not?

I like the ring you already have much, much better. And I think grammyr is right. As someone who has been married over 20 years even if he doesn't mind you switching it will stick in his head and eventually he just won't pick anything out anymore because he thinks there's no use (at least that is what happened to me!).

are u kidding? it is so so so pretty!!! I love it , tell me more detail about it, the setting is so beautiful!

Wow, I'm overwhelmed by the response to my ring! Haha, in a good way of course! Hmm, not sure what else to tell about it since a picture says a thousand words. One thing that the photos might not pick up is that the band actually has small inset diamonds all across the design. It looks like the band is all metal but actually there are small diamonds across the whole band, even in all the little scrolls. I think bc there is so much detail, the diamonds had to be very small to fit in the details so it doesn't pick up as much light. The band is also platinum and the edge has a very fine milgrain (sp?) edge.

Thanks again everyone to their kind words and advice!

I would stay with the original ring, since you left it up to him to choose the design, you should be happy with what he picked out, and it's a gorgeous ring anyway, he has great taste. And honestly to me, one pave band is gonna be like any pave band, completely covered in very small diamonds. So if you don't have a problem with pave in general, then I would stay with the original one, just my opinion.

eh i would this little diamonds would be a waste of money. they are small and will be hard to clean to keep it shiny. i would trade them all for a nice simple gold band and a nice wedding band with bigger diamonds.

btw if u arent happy with it you never will be.

Both rings are gorgeous! I like the origional best. Did you ever think that you can make up for what it's missing in your weding band? Honestly, as one who often returned things my bf and later DH bought, first, you will be sorry and wish you had he origional, no matter how much you like the new one, and second, he will lose interest in trying to please you. Take my advice- there are many more rings in your future. Keep this one and you won't be sorry!

This is a very good point and I struggle with this all the time. My DH used to buy me things much more often than he does now and I think the exchange/return/I don't like asspect is probably what deterred him. But on the same point I think it is useless to spend $$ and have things you dont trully love. I have a few bags and some jewelry that I have kept from him that I don't love and they never get used. On that same note an engagement ring is different of course and you will get A LOT of use out of it. With that said even though your df said he would be fine with it double and triple check with him and explain how important this is to you and then pick the one you love - jimo of course :)

EDIT: nevermind! I'm glad you love it now. It is stunning :)
