Double or Single Flap?

I choose the double flap because it keeps the shape . The single flap loses the shape and I don’t like that . However, the single flap holds more items . I had a single maxi that was a great travel bag . However , I sold it and got a double flap because it holds the shape better .

I have both and I prefer the single flap because it isn't as heavy. I have not had an issue with one losing shape.

When I bought my jumbo flap in 2008, I didn’t have a choice. It only came in single flap as far as I could tell. I’ve never had the double flap. I don’t know why people say the jumbo is heavy. My single flap is light and easy to use.

The double flap on the jumbo makes it A TANK and drastically reduces holding capacity. I have a vintage jumbo in lambskin and a 2008 or 2009 jumbo in caviar single flap and they're great! I tried a double flap jumbo before and sold it. Sooo heavy and much less space.

Single flap bags are overall more comfortable to wear because they're less boxy and have more give under the arm.

Single - convenient and fits more
