Double or Single Flap?

I absolutely love my single flap 2010 jumbo that I bought from Fashionphile. It’s light and so easy to wear. I spent 2 years going back and forth and chose a single flap. I couldn’t be happier with my decision. Two things that persuaded me to choose single flap, weight and price. I had to have a price I felt comfortable with, still getting a beautiful bag in excellent condition. I also knew I wanted as light a bag as possible as I wanted it to be comfortable to carry all day. I made the right decision for me and have zero regrets.

I got mine two days ago for Fashionphile. Yours is beautiful!

Its definitely personal preference. For me, it depends on the size of the bag. When it comes to the Jumbo, single flap is my preference. I find even the single flap Jumbo is quite heavy so I can't imagine the weight of the double flap. I wish Chanel didn't discontinue the single flap Jumbo!

I do ! However I just noticed it has some very tiny loose threads on one side . It wasn’t mentioned in the description . It was listed excellent condition . Does your have any ?
Not that I have noticed. I was pretty careful viewing pics from fashionphile before I bought it. I just feel like I really lucked out finding the one I did. The first one I bought a couple of years ago I sent back. It had wear on the bottom that I wasn’t comfortable with and it took me almost 2 years of searching periodically before I found this one.

Double flap! All of my classic bags are double flaps. They help maintain the bag's structure and shape of the bag. It also retains its value more than single flap. I've seen older, single flaps, and they aren't as structured and it has this slouchy look.
Does the slouchy look only apply to lambskin bags? Or did you also see caviar bags look slouchy/out of shape? I only have Jumbo double flaps but just here researching about the advantages/disadvantages of single flaps and if it’s maybe something for me. But I have OCD (LOL) so I would like to keep my bags in pristine condition without looking beat up/slouchy.

I actually saw some slouchy jumbo caviar before! Not only to just lamb... everything had its pros and cons. Single flaps definitely have more space and lighter though. I think it depends on personal preference and lifestyle.

I have both caviar single flap and lambskin double flap. I've not had a problem with either. I've seen others with slouchy chanels even with a caviar double flap . So it really depends on how you treat your bags. Though I'm less worry about it now because I've seen many bagspa able to restore the shape. Send in a slouchy bag and it came back standing proud, structured and tall

Yes Leather Surgeons made my single flap structure look new again
