She does a great review of the kisslocks. And she triggered a memory in me - my nan had something similar she would put her cigarettes in.

Kisslock (or snap) cigarette cases were very popular in the 60s, esp 70s, still popular with some smokers. My mom always carried a small snap change purse - back when we could actually buy anything for less than a dollar.
That easy secure closure just can't be beat.

I was amazed at how many fakes are out there on ebay and posh.

Oh I know! I couldn’t believe it myself when I first signed up on Poshmark. Some of them are so damn awful, with 15 likes. But I like to comment that they’re fake. And reporting the listing, PM does nothing.

Even worse is seeing these secondhand thrift sites, like Goodwill & ThredUp, selling fakes.

Kiss lock styles have come back recently in handbags and in accessories.
I think the accessories are cute, but the handbags don't appeal to me.
But the extra metal on the accessories does add weight to the item and there
fore to the carry. And, some of those kiss locks are so strong that I can't
open them easily. (Showing my age 😁 )
Of course, that didn't stop me from buying a natural Florentine kiss lock
during the sale this week. How could I resist?

Dooney and Bourke Florentine double zip wristlet in navy. I ordered from ild eBay $55 free shipping. It arrived in 2 days Via Ups. This navy is super dark and even in the sunlight it looks black. Smooth leather, but dull. Very nice for the price. Would be 3 sale priced for the price of one @ regular price. Chestnut should be arriving Monday.

I agree. I was really going back and forth on getting the flo large domed satchel in navy, because of the red contrast. now it's sold out. and i'm ok with that ... maybe [bites nails] i don't know

No, I'm not familiar with that vintage style. The pebble cosmetic cases I prefer
have a wider base and hold a lot. Post #5 in this thread shows them in
Florentine leather, whcih are stunning.

I don't think that's it. The one I am referring to has a wide base., probably 2".
The one in the link looks more like a thin pouch, like a wristlet.

True the kisslocks add weight. The accessories are soooo cute tho, and i really love that vintage look of them. They can be tough to open tho
