Does Neiman Marcus Price Match?

I just asked to price match nordstrom or saks and they said no. all the more reason if i can avoid it, I won't purchase from neiman marcus. They have no concept of customer service, and neither does saks (actually neimans is better than saks). Nordstrom is the very best IMO.
Sometimes I feel that the people in Neimans and Saks think they own it, with the herrendous attitude they often have.

I made a post about neiman and Nordstrom... love both stores and Neiman carries more chanel and lots of designers but their customer service sucks, which is why I almost always shop at Nordstrom vs neiman, but sometimes can't resist neiman lol. saks I won't shop in at all, they are nasty and they sell nothing I can't get from other stores, so I refuse to give them usiness

^^that's good. only I got to listen in on the most fabulous display of 1st world problem here the other day. the CSR assisting me with a return and I were next to a lady saying that 'she spent 10-15K here' (no time frame) and 'she certainly did NOT purchase a last call item!! Last call is at the bar' she says, 'but we would never do last call at NM'.

BG doesn't even match NM! And aren't they the same company???

It is my understanding that they ARE supposed to do this, at least for online purchases. (Sometimes you quickly make an online purchase at NM only to find moments later that the same item is less on BG or vice versa). The problem is reaching a customer service rep that knows how to do this and/or is willing to get that information. Some of their reps are just terrible. I wish that the online customer service would get a revamp.

Yeah, I have to be more clear. I had couple of bad experience with NM online. The stores for the most part are very helpful.

This has been my experience too. On more than one occasion, it was the nice people in the store that had to correct the problems from online (after several of my attempts to make the online reps correct their mistakes). Don't get me wrong, some of their online reps are good, but many seem to need additional training (too many, actually). I don't know how you would resolve these issues if your local store didn't have helpful people.

As for price matching online items from other companies (besides other requirements), I think the item has to be currently "in stock" at the other (approved) site. So, at sale time, this is sometimes not possible.

One more question, will NM take % off for price match item? I mean like i saw a bag at Saks website less than NM, but i would like to buy it NM (thumb up for return time frame ). Since The NM website has 25% on one item, 30% on 2 items and 35% on 3 or more item. Would NM take the price match from Saks and apply the % discount base on Price match price?

i feel like online Neiman's is more accommodating from my experience. Last year I purchased a YSL clutch during the sale only to find out days later that they were having an extra 25% off. I called and they refunded the price difference. It was not actually still available online either. This year I bought a Prada bag during their designer sale and they then were doing 25% off (second cut i guess), and customer service on the phone insisted that I can only price difference my store bought item in the store, and when I went, they declined to give me price difference stating that the reason being that the bag was completely sold out. In both cases, I had the bag for about 2 weeks or maybe slightly over, so it wasn't a matter of timing, at least neither pointed it out as an issue...
