Not to threadjack - but does someone have an SA they love at Short Hills? It's my closest store and I have never been (I'm in Philly) but I plan on going up to look at some items I have my eye on in person. I know I need to make an appointment and would hope to request someone amazing.
Love the staff there. I don't buy there but I do visit. Trying to remember the guy's name...PM me.

Hello, we recently went at the VCA at Short Hills and you should ask for Fatou Diokhane. She was very helpful, super sweet and nice.

I’m also in philly and have bought a couple items from the short hills location. I used Alexandra Adam.

I have a collection of items from Cartier and VCA, all bought from different SAs and different stores. I personally have never really felt like I had formed a relationship with any particular SA, except actually at Tiffany’s. I’ll admit I did have one SA there who I hit it off with and I’d remain loyal to.

This is a random question-- but does "loyalty" count with VCA the way it does it with Hermes? My husband has bought two pieces from LV VCA at Crystals and our SA there is lovely. She sent me a mother's day gift and a birthday gift, which was such a nice surprise. Unfortunately, we won't be traveling to LV any time soon due to Covid, so I want to look at pieces at our local VCA. Should I just go to local store to look at what I like and then order the piece(s) through my LV VCA SA?

Thank you!

awwww how sweet!!! i love it when SAs are so thoughtful!!! But yes loyalty goes a long way. I’m sure she can ship anything you like.

ok but Can you share your VCA SA tho :graucho:

Sorry to hijack but I also have a question... I purchased from an SA last year before the Sept increase from a friend's recommendation but I actually was introduced by another SA before I met this one. When I went in this time, the friend's recommendation SA was busy and I didn't make an appointment so I just queued up like all the other people and by fate, I was served by that first SA from before and really liked him. Today however my SA sent me a message to ask me if I went to look for her and that she was working so because I purchased from the other SA, he will assist me from now on. Is she mad at me?? Was I supposed to ask for her???

Sounds like she got upset, they work on commission, but this is not an excuse to send unprofessional message like that. I would not want to deal with her after that anyways.

She might be mad but messaging you like that is unprofessional as @7777777 mentioned. What she should have done is ask how you were going and perhaps say, I’m sorry I wasn’t able to assist you when you came to the boutique. She basically burned her bridges by acting that way.

The thing is, she was busy and you’re not obligated to wait for her to be available if someone else is happy/able to assist you. In some ways, it’s a blessing because if you like the male SA better, then why not buy from him? It’s your money. Plus you bought from him first.

Don’t read into it too much

Does anyone know how the commission structure works? I’ve always wondered.
I'm wondering the same! I bought a two butterfly btf ring at Hudson Yards. They didn't have it in stock in my size and I paid in full to place the order. The assistant manager helped me but he said he has to put another SA's name on the order bc he can't make sales (is that the case?), but the SA was very rude and aggressive to me when she contacted me and when I came to pick it up. It honestly ruined the purchase for me and I'm reminded of the horrible experience every time I look at the ring, so I want to exchange it for something else at the 5th ave flagship. I'm wondering if I do an exchange, does the SA at Hudson Yards still get commission or would the SA at 5th Ave get commission for the item I exchange it to? Hoping it's the latter:smile:
