Does having to make an appointment annoy you?

I prefer it right now. I made my very first appointment. I asked for a Saturday but my sa said I wouldn't like it because it's busier. They know me too well. I've not been to any store for 15 months. So made an appointment for a week day.

My store is back to permitting walk-ins. I can't imagine some stores would remain appointment-only where others would not.
Well, in the US, the different states and sometimes cities have different guidelines for reopening. It's not necessarily up to the retailer. Situations are also different in different countries.

Of course, I meant more with regard to the long-term approach and some people hoping that the appointment system might stay permanently.
But, hasn't it always been possible to make an appointment with your SA? If you want one on one time, guidance, specific discussions, or just to save your SA from people who aren't fun :), you make an appointment; meanwhile if you want to browse randomly, or are new to the brand, you walk in.

It would be a retail killer for almost any brand to remove the new and/or entry level customer; H COULD survive as an exception, maybe, but that would be kind of sad, and antithetical to things like having makeup and fragrances in boutique. I love that people can come in and discover craftsmanship.

For those who want private shopping during normal hours with no one else in store, well, they have to do the numbers :)

Haha - Yes, it's always been possible to make an appointment. I like popping in now and then, though, to chat and browse - if my SA is busy i don't mind ogling pretty things! Also I'm near NYC and the boutiques all have different vibes, which I like, and I notice different things each time I go. Someone new to the brand might be really hesitant to make an appointment.

My SA sorts of discourages me making an appointment. In fact she told me they don't take weekend appointments anymore as they are too busy. I feel she prefers me doing mail order ( I.e. I send her the items I want and she posts them to me) Has anyone else experienced this with their SA?
