does coach make stuff specifically for outlets?

I've heard they made specific lines for the outlets as test trials to see if they will mass produce it and introduce it to the stores.

I've seen that happen, and more recently, I've seen more of the opposite: stuff that was in the regular stores for a brief time that is now available in more options and greater quantities in the outlet stores. A recent example of this is the Chelsea pebbled leather line, which has not only brought back the shoulder envelope bags from last fall (which I had bought in black and green nubuck back then at retail), but also in other variations (large totes, shoulder hobos) and even the zip-around wallets that were in the retail stores just this past spring. It's great to be able to pick up something that you missed the first time around.

You all are sooooooo lucky!!!!! The nearest outlet to me is like 12 hours away. I doubt I will ever get there.

I walk around at least 3 times too...but I do pick stuff up! Don't want someone else to get my great find....so I circle the store with my arms full!!!

Coach manufactures certain lines expressly for their Outlets. It is the same quality, just different combinations (like the patchwork bags for the holidays, for example, there is always one for the regular retail stores, and one for the Outlets).

Doesn't every thing in the outlets have a Coach Factory tag? I thought when it leaves the retail store to the outlets they take the tag off & replace it w/ the coach factory one w/ a totally different price & markdowns? Everything I've bought has a tag that says coach factory & I know that some of it was just extras that didn't sell from the full price store. But, the twill bags as mentioned above are just made for the outlets & they are great..no difference quality wise if I was to purchase it at a boutique.

I bought a coach market tote and the tag says coach factory but I also bought a coach soft duffle and that says just Coach on the tag, so I guess there is a difference.

I've always seen Coach Factory bags too...and even the stuff I've gotten that I know started out at a coach store has the bullseye on the creed.

That lilac flap that I posted on another thread I bought at the coach outlet over the weekend & it didn't have a bullseye at all..anywhere. I was shocked that's the first bag I've bought w/ out it. The matching mini skinny had a bullseye though between the outside flap.

When I was at the outlet last time, they told me that they do. They do make stuff from past seasons and other stuff just for outlets. Outlet doesn't just carry stuff that's not in season at the regular retail.
