Does Coach jewelry hold up?

I have several Coach bracelets and necklaces. They have all held up very well. A couple of the necklaces have tarnished a bit, but nothing that really bothers me. One thing about the hinged bracelets...some of them open very easily. I had a Legacy Stripe one that opened while I was wearing it and it fell on the ground.

I bought a ring a couple of years ago. Gold big flower. The petal fell off: twice. On the second go around too. Cute ring but not worth the money IMO. Bought a bangle and a setting fell out. Have a poppy bangle: smooth, no settings; has worn fine. I would be Leary.....

I've only purchased a sterling rolo chain bracelet with a large op art disc charm. It's all solid sterling, very heavy and well made. I just ordered some button earrings that coordinate, also sterling, but they have pavé crystals around the edge. They're small and the pavé is subtle, so if any fall out it shouldn't be noticeable, plus my earlobes don't exactly get heavy duty wear, ya know.

I have quite a few items and haven't had any problems. My daughter had crystals fall out of one earring, went to the store and they replaced the earrings no questions asked.

I have quite a few pieces of coach jewelry and I like them very much, but I think that they are often rather high-priced for costume jewelry.

I used to get them pretty cheap from the outlet but they no longer sell jewelry or watches at the outlets. Darn!

I have bought some coach jewelry items from the boutique or online with PCE (25% off) when I want to make sure that I will get the pieces that I really want.

I have bought other items from the factory online sale and they sometimes have good discounts on selected items, but you have to order quickly to get the best bargains. The FOS is less reliable if there is an item that you really want because it may not ever be listed or you may not get it before it sells out. But I recently got a $240 coach Tony Duquette charm bracelet from the FOS for only $36! You can't beat that!

I have 5 coach boyfriend watches (I can't believe that I have so many!) and I love them. But again there are alternatives if you don't want to pay retail. You can use PCE at the boutique or online and sometimes they show up on the FOS. The best deal is often to check out the Movado Company Store sales.

Movado makes the watches for Coach and you can sometimes find them much cheaper at their outlets. You can call the store and order with a credit card they will ship the watch to you for a $15 handling fee, they will even ship out of state.

As far as wear, the jewelry is well-made and holds up well. Keep your receipts and they will give you a full refund if you have problems later.

Once I had a problem with a bangle latch but they gave me a refund. I also lost a few pave crystals from a bracelet charm - even though I had coated the stones with jewelry glaze as a precaution. They offered a full refund but I decided to keep it because it is part of a set.

The Movado watches come with a 2 year warranty, again keep your receipts.

I suggest that get a few pieces and decide how you like them. But just a warning, Coach jewelry and watches are just as addictive as their bags! If you start buying them you will want to buy more!

I have several Coach pieces... the only one I've had trouble with is the Tony Duquette Sunburst Pave Ring. I love this piece so much, but the stones starting falling out and I couldn't even identify when or how or where they came out - just that I would look down and notice another was missing!

Here's the good news: Coach is pretty awesome. I went into the store and they were able to order me the same ring as a replacement and even shipped it directly to my house 2-day shipping, free of charge. They said they do sometimes have issues with stones like that (especially on rings, because we are harder on them... we use our hands all day long) and to remember that it is costume jewelry. However, if they have a replacement to give, they will. Otherwise, I think they will give you a store credit for the price of the item.

I hope that helps!
