Does anyone own Liebeskind bags?

Received my Liebeskind Donna and I'm loving it, it is the perfect slouchy hobo  I'll try to u/l a pic shortly but I can't promise now but shortly... I have the computer upload setup from hell :(

Compared to say other leather hobos, it is softer/thinner and slouchier and has wonderful drape against the body. It softly bulges on the bottom when loaded with my two zippered pouches. The leather is soft and supple enough to feel like it's stretching into that hobo shape. The edges are softly "unfinished" so you see the nap or suede coming through. Mine had some faint peel but that seems to be indicative of the distressing process, my bag was distressed up to that point in two tiny spots. If you do not like distressed like that, I would hold off and try another one of the lines, but I really love it for that.

I thought I'd throw out a tip for the other users of the hobo styles.

If your convertible strap is dragging too low, try threading one end of the strap THRU the handle drop and then finish clipping. So, start with clipping on D-ring from front of bag, thread strap, and finish off clipping from back of D-ring.

This holds the strap right over the top of the opening, and keeps from reaching too low and it does not interfere with carrying either on shoulder or crossbody. You can maneuver strap front to back easily. Try it! I'll try to take a pic of that too.

In the meantime, here's a stock photo of threading the strap thru the permanent handle so it doesn't drag below your knees. I'm sure it's been done before for eons, but I'd only thought of it now :p This is the Liebeskind Donna Crust (Stone color, I believe)

I'm glad you like it! I caved and re-ordered the Donna in "Taupe" because I had bought and returned so many purses in the past month trying to find the perfect everyday bag, but I finally realized that the Donna fit the bill all along.
Because it only has one strap I don't have the annoyance of two-strap purses where I'm always struggling to keep both on my shoulder. The flat strap is very comfortable. It's huge but because the leather is so soft and slouchy, it carries smaller if it isn't full. It has a messenger strap if needed, and it's not too heavy. And I am very happy with it at the current price (I got it for $133 on Amazon) whereas when I bought and returned it earlier in the year, it was over $200 and I felt like it was too expensive. :p
FYI for anyone looking at this bag, though--the "Stone" color is not attractive IMO. It looks like you took a beige bag, dropped it in the dirt, and rubbed newspaper all over it leaving it smudged with ink.

I'm looking for a Donna too...:graucho:

Hey there,

I have read the whole thread, but am still not sure. I really want a estherb vintage bag, but can`t decide between the colors. I don´t have a bloomingdales near me, so I have to order off the web. Online the colors look so different.

I would love to have like a gray-ish colored bag (like a darker gray or used looking bag). So far I saw a couple pics of the "taupe" I love, like this pic:

Can one of you tell me how the bag estherb in taupe looks in real? is it greenish?

I also love this color, but am not sure what it looks like in real (color aqua):

I appreciate your guys help!!!

Have a great weekend.

This is a Liebeskind that I have. It is so big that I could use it as a weekender. I often use it as a carry on when I travel. I dud buy it a few years back though. But GREAT leather. It still looks new. The hardware is great and the colour does not come off. Overall great working bag. :)

Pollie-Jean, I purchased mine off of Amazon... the price was US$133, down from US$279 I think. Good bargain. I took it out yesterday and it is very nice, very good drape on my body. I used only the "handle" part, it is long enough for over the shoulder.

I also ordered a pack of "Purse Gummy," it is a strip of gel padding I put under all my handles/straps to keep them from slipping off my sloped shoulders. Wish I knew about these sooner! I don't think the Liebeskind Donna needs this b/c it is bottom weighted, but I just like to use my bags with more ease... stupid shoulders! :p
