Does anyone own Liebeskind bags?

My Liebeskind Berlin Estonia in taupe (color is more brownish). It has long strap too, but in my opinion looks better without it.

Hi, can someone confirm for me these bags are now made in China? I was looking online and noticed some sites say they're made in China. I have no problem with workmanship, but I'd like a German brand to be made in Germany...

Oh wow, why did I think Liebeskind bags where all made in Germany? Does anyone have any additional info? Was there a point that they were made in Germany and then moved production to China?

Its no surprise, however, most bags (and everything else) are made in China. Its just a matter of economics. Some claim that the workmanship on made in China bags are not as good. I have to say, I saw that in a Givenchy polyester *cringe* nightingale that I owned briefly. The leather ones made in Italy were so much better. My Burberry buckleigh is made in China and I have absolutely no complaints with it.

Yes, they are made in China. Same with most Rebecca Minkoff, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Tory Burch, Kate Spade, Dooney, and Coach. This is the unfortunate reality of the global manufacturing economy we currently live in.

I haven't seen a Liebeskind in person yet so I can't actually compare other than with pictures I've come across. The early leathers (especially the Birkin-esque bags) seemed to be as thick as shearling? They seem to be on sale, and the price point is probably more in keeping with China production value.

Do agree, there is very good workmanship coming from China but I'd prefer to get a Liebeskind directly made in Germany tho!

Thanks Fee4zy for the info. My MbMJ bags were made in Indonesia. No problems there. I am sure most of my other bags are made in Asia too but I would have to check.

I finally cleaned my bag and carried it out. The spots that were on it when it got it came off easily with Lexol + water. I also managed to get a tiny oil stain on it too - the leather will totally suck up oils apparently so I also did some rain and stain spray after cleaning. I took it out and it's totally smooshy goodness. The strap is nice and soft and the crossbody is very adjustable. We'll see how it holds up.
