Does anyone own a Kelly Sellier with togo?

I am not an expert on the length of time it takes for SO’s, but it appears from the tpf stories I’ve read that a sellier Kelly takes a good bit longer than a retourne Kelly. But it also seems that a chevre sellier Kelly takes longer than a togo sellier Kelly. I am waiting on a chevre sellier that was ordered 2 years and 8 months ago and I know of other tpfers who are waiting for chevre sellier orders from that same timeframe.

Of course in the world of H anything can happen and your experience may differ from others. But even if you do have to wait a bit longer for a togo sellier, you will have a very special bag when you get it!

I think it very much depends on where your SO was generated, and perhaps even the time of year. FSH for example, can have a 3-4 month turnover.

I am never that lucky .
I have a simple sellier kelly from April 2016 that still haven’t arrived. Of course it was not ordered in Paris

My Togo sellier was ordered in Paris and it took a full two years....no 3 month turnaround here either. But lately there seem to be some fast SOs. None of 'em mine.

While I'm a Box Kelly Sellier addict/fanatic, I confess to having a couple of togo. Both took two years + and well worth the wait.
Could I trouble you to post a photo of your sellier in togo? I have yet to see one and am now considering the togo-sellier combo (given this thread) for my next SO. Thanks in advance!

There are two photos of Togo sellier in this thread already......and more in Ode to Kelly Sellier.

I'm not in love with my epsom K sellier. I have a clemence retourne that I love. Then I really wanted a sellier and got one 2-3 years ago. I carried it about 5 times since purchasing it and not at all in the last 12 months. I found it's really stiff and difficult to open the flap. Oh well! It's so pretty to look at though. I'm sure your bag will be gorgeous when it arrives.

Hi ladies, can anyone give a review of a kelly Sellier in Togo compared to a Retourne or a Sellier in Epsom/box. Wondering of how easy it is to use? I read a Sellier can be quite hard to get into and out of compared to a Retourne. Just wondering if having a Togo leather makes a Sellier a bit more flexible and easier to get in and out of? Also do you find you can put more stuff in or is the Togo still quite rigid due to the shape/style of the Sellier. Thanks in advance xx

I found Togo about the same as Epsom and chèvre in terms of flexibility and ease of use in a sellier; easier than Box.
The bag is still very rigid and has the internal stiffening layer (not referring to Sellier Mou here) so the capacity will be the same as any sellier of that size.
Most of my Kellys are sellier and I it's only the Box one that is fiddly to get in and out of, mainly because I don't want to scratch it.
YMMV.

The Togo flap on my bag is easier to open than my Epsom one. It may be because it's softer and more flexible and/or maybe my Epsom one is especially stiff (i.e. I need to wear her more maybe?). Agree with @QuelleFromage (Hiii!) that overall bag structure is still very rigid and stiff for the Togo.

I just got her this past weekend and wow, I'm in love:

Hey there! :hugs: I've only played with Epsom selliers, never owned one, so they may be stiffer. Epsom always feels softer to me than I expect from how it looks :)
LOVE Togo sellier, wish I still had one, but I need a retourne......

thanks so much for you replies and feedback. I really like Togo leather. I find it so hardwearing but also love the classic Sellier style.
Cygne18 your bag is absolutely stunning!
