Well, I just bought my Partition today, and it was made almost made 3 years ago (0803). The date code was very hard to read. When did you buy yours?

YPK, you're really lucky to have gotten your Partition fresh from a store. After the SA told me it was a limited release in 2003, I had to search for mine, and finally bought it from a person on ebay who got it on eluxury May of 2003; I have the receipt. It was a hard thing to do, I do not care to buy LV on eBay, but I had to make an exception for this piece. Luckily the seller was very honest.

Hi Windykat, I used my Partition today, and having some doubts. Because of it's size, I find it rather heavy, even though the bag was half empty. Then I thought, maybe I can use it as a cosmetic bag and hook it to the D ring if I want to. In the public bathroom, it will be most useful with the wristlet as I do not need to set it down anywhere (I hate wet counters). It's about the same price anyway.....do you think I should keep it? I know how you feel about eBay. The only LV piece I ever bought from eBay was the Cerises Cles and I was lucky too. It was BRAND NEW like the seller described. Even the LV SA was shocked.

If you think it is too heavy, then maybe you should not keep it. For me, it was just right for going out w/ the things I always carry. It's not convenient to use as a make-up bag though; for that you should get the Pochette instead. Good luck deciding!!

My partition's made in 03 - but I got it early 2004 so the date code didn't seem unusual at the time lol. I think it's such a unique bag - although I hardly use it, it's the only bag I've had for 2 years and have never thought of selling. It has a purpose - it's a great night bag, and it really is very pretty. :)
