Dear Style 101

I must have missed your pictures. Are you able to post them again? I'm a recent convert to Balenciaga and I'm hooked. I only have a black hobo but I have my heart set on a white/cream one and the red looks beautiful too. I'm trying to learn all the different styles. Thank you and best wishes Verity.

OK, for those wondering about the 05 rouge theatre/berry red color v.s. the 06 rouge vif/fire engine red, here are some pictures. The city is from f/w 05, money wallet is f/w 06. I'd say the 06 is just a hint brighter & warmer compared to the 05

the rouge 05 is alot darker and berry-er than that i think...

This is my Lilac Box. First pic is pre-Apple-Conditioner and pre-twisting, so it's kind of shiny and veiny. Subsequent photos are taken after the conditioner and twisting/pulling/massaging treatment. The leather looks really soft, supple and thick. Notice the difference in color. All pics are taken without cameraflash.

1st pic --> Virgin box, pre-treatment, white fluorescence roomlight.
2nd+3rd pic --> post-'abused", pre-conditioner, roomlight. Color looks paler as leather is stretched slightly by yours truly:shame:
4th+5th pic --> post-conditioner, roomlight.
6th pic --> direct sunlight
7th+8th pic --> natural light, notice the slight difference in color
9th pic --> right next to the glass door.
10th pic --> the most true to life color of my Lilac Box

I must say this Lilac Box is a chameleon like the Ink City, and I LOVE IT!!

eta : I've been applying the Apple Conditioner on this Lilac Box about 4 times already, and I love the effect as it made the lilac color slightly darker, not as pale as shown in 2nd+3rd pic.

hatikuh---I am totally drooling over your 05 rouge Theatre! It was the color that I was originally searching most unsuccessfully for(but the 06 Rouge is a lovely substitute even though they are so different). Your 05 rouge has the most amazing leather!!! Wow!

I havent taken pix of my Balenciags, but I its all about the INK for me! I have it in every style it available in. I love the City bag the best, I use my black one alot too. Just bought my daughter The Purse style in Bordeaux. My work bag is used every day for, well, WORK. LOL.

Since there's some variation in the F 06 rouge Vif bags, here is a couple pics of my City. They are all without flash, but the 2nd to last one is directly in front of the window in full sunlight. The last one shows a close up. As for color, mine is a true cherry red. I've seen some that run from a bright orangey red to a deep dark ripe strawberry red. I'd say mine is in the middle.

pupster, your rouge looks beautiful in like all the pictures... lovely!
i'd say mine is in the middle as well, towards the darker side. i do a double take sometimes because it looks like a lighter, brighter version of the 05 rouge theatre! which is perfect cos i liked that colour, only it was just tooo dark. i wish i had my camera here right now!!

- Rouge Theater City
