Do you wear your jewellery everyday or do you keep it for best?

Wear them daily...else don't buy at all. I don't believe in saving the best for ocassions unless they are statement jewellery. Unless, you inherit jewellery but not a jewellery person...like my mom.

I wear what I feel like wearing on any given day. there are definitely some pieces of jewelry that I don't wear as often usually because I feel they look dressy. but even then, sometimes I like to wear lots of sparkle with a casual outfit.

the only pieces I "save" for special occasions are my christmas pins...worn only during the christmas season ;)

Wear them! I wear "good" jewelry everyday because it makes me feel good to wear it. Additionally, I don't generally buy OTT bling that cannot be worn without a formal gown. Elizabeth Taylor I'm not! So while I have casual pieces and dressier pieces, none of them are comparable to the crown jewels or anything, so I can work most of them in with outfits.

daily basis!!

I wear 2cttw studs, diamond wedding ring, wide sapphire/diamond RHR, Rolex and tennis bracelet everyday. Even w/ sweatshirt and Uggs :D

I have other jewelry in my jewelry box, can't wear every single piece every day, but I definitely don't "save" the good stuff.

I totally agree! I'm a hoodie, boots and diamonds girl most of the time.

I have bought some fashion jewelry lately because gold prices are crazy! But I do usually buy the good stuff because I wear it everyday and it does have to stand the test of time but I guess most of what I buy are good, solid, "everyday" pieces.....RHR's, tennis bracelets and bangles.......:graucho:

I wear 4ct tw diamond stud earrings, ering/wedding band and rolex every day....
Yes, I do tend to 'save" a lot of the good stuff...in the safe. Largely because while I love beautiful jewelry and have been fortunate to have aquired some beautiful pieces I am a minimalist and my basic pieces are pretty significant.
It makes me happy just knowing the pieces are there...ha. Yes, I do tend to "visit" them once in a while....:smile1:
Just like Hermes scarves....collect them, but rarely actually wear them.

I wear it everyday! What I don't wear regularly and doesn't have sentimental value I have gotten rid of.
I wear this everyday:
- 2.5 ctw diamond studs
- Midsize Rolex,
- Cartier 4 diamond Love bracelet
- Wide pave diamond band RHR
Some days I also add Tiffany WG diamond Signature ring on my left hand (not engaged yet) and my 6.5 carat diamond tennis bracelet
I wear this even with sweats and Uggs like Swanky, I actually love being very causally dressed wearing my jewelry.

I have jewelry basics/essentials for my everyday life, and I have more intrigue designs , "heavier stuff" for special occasions and celebrations. There is a time and a place for everything. Bottom line: I always wear some jewelry on me.

I enjoy wearing my jewelry every day! Not all of it, of course, but I switch off. My usual is:

Diamond emerald cut studs
Diamond (4 prong) tennis necklace 18" with white gold prongs
Pave diamond heart necklace on white gold chain
RHR sapphire approx. 4.5 carats and diamonds in white gold
Left middle finger Bulgari YG 5 band B.zero1 ring
Sometimes left ring finger DY quatrefoil pave diamond ring in YG.
Left wrist watch, either small size SS Rolex with MOP face, RG Patek Philippe 24 with chocolate face, or Phillip Stein double dial with black alligator band and black face with pave diamond dials.
And since my birthday, small Lagos sterling silver bracelet, a present from my daughters.

Sounds like a lot, but with no large statement or chunky jewelry ( admire it on others, hate it on myself), the effect is "pretty", not "look at me!"

I wear most of my good stuff on rotation but the dressier, more formal pieces have to stay in the safe for the right occasion. I do try to bring them out once in a while for fun!

Thank you for your replies.

I have decided to alternate between 2 pendants. A Diamond pendant which I absolutely adore as its my birthstone and its one of the pendants I received for my 21st. It has a lot of sentimental value. The other pendant is a cushion cut Amethyst which is tension set in to a open heart again I received this for my 21st and although its a second to the Diamond pendant I don't think I could part with it because of the sentimental value. Both of these were gifts from my parents.

I have other necklaces and pendants which are set in silver with stones and some without. I am still thinking about what to do with those.

One pendant I can't part with is a cameo pendant which was purchased whilst on a cruise in Napoli again a gift from my parents which I hope to pass down someday.

My jewellery collection isn't so big its just I feel like I have too much and not enough occasions to wear it which is why I am now deciding what to keep and what to sell.

I love reading your responses as my Mum isn't a jewellery fan she was a watch and wedding set daily but that's all and she doesn't know what I should do.

I switch my jewelry depending on what I'm wearing and what I feel like wearing that day. I keep the fancier stuff for more formal occassions but eventhough I don't wear those much, I'd like to always have them available when there's an occassion that calls for fancier jewelry. Sometimes I let go of some pieces that I've gotten tired of, but I've also learned my lesson with that too because I have a few pieces I let go and after some time I realized I miss them and bought the same piece again.

There was a time that I didn't wear the good stuff everyday. I love it all. One day my husband commented"Why do you buy this stuff if you are not going to wear it". So now I rotate everything. Everyday is a special day. I have one daughter to leave it to and she's not fond of jewelry. So I"ll enjoy it.
