I wear mine absolutely all the time.Its safer there.I never take it off to do washing up,laundry,chores or anything like that.If I have a shower or a bath,it has one too.
The only time I take it off is if I am ever doing any rough diy,or letting my friend put it in their ultrasonic (they are a professional jeweller),thats it.
7 years and counting I have worn it pretty much every single day (apart from when I was pregnant and it wouldn't fit) and its been fine,its had its share of knocks and bangs,and its always been alright.

Just me though,I think if I took it off on a regular basis,I'd forget where I had put it!

I agree with the other ladies who have said your band would work well as a stand alone piece,its more than gorgeous enough to not need anything else to go with it imo

I wear it on and off. Sometimes I wear my engagement ring with a thin sapphire band, and other times I wear my wedding band. They don't go together, so it's one or the other.

If your rings are the same metal, I think it's fine to wear the band on the right hand. My engagement ring is white gold, while the band is yellow gold, so it doesn't quite work for me.

I wear mine when everyday! But not when doing housework, etc though--I don't want to get it banged up. I wear my wedding band all the time, it doesn't leave my finger :love:, except to clean it

I just had this discussion with my MIL this weekend. She wears her ring everywhere and never takes it off. I wear mine all day/every day but take it off to sleep and shower. I have a jewelry box on my dresser where my ring sits when it's not on my finger.

I have only recently started leaving my e-ring off and wearing my band only. I got tired of snagging sweaters with it. Mine's pointy (a heart-cut solitare) and it's been really nice to not fuss with it all the time.

There is only one place in the house I leave it, in a special corner of my cosmetic drawer. I won't take it off unless I immediately walk to that drawer and place it inside. You have to make it a habit, or else you'll drive yourself crazy running around to your hiding spots.

I usually wear mine all of the time my E Ring with band and RHR solitaire. I never leave them at home because even though I have them insured they could never be replaced. I always put them away in the same place and when I am around the house I am usually cleaning or something so they go in my jewelry box. I always take them off before I do laundry which may snag on my rings and never dishes even with gloves or bathing the kids or changing their diapers, I don't like the feeling of soap getting trapped under them so I usually put them away when I am doing these things. Your band is gorgeous ! Maybe a really thin band for a new ering solitaire so it won't be much thicker than your band and then another band of pave on top of that so it is like sandwiched between the two unless there is not a lot or room on your finger, I would have to see IRL.

Always. 24/7. The only time I took mine off was when it had to go away to be resized, along with my wedding band. They were away for about 10 days, and I wore a silver band and a cheap tanzanite until they returned safely home.

I wear mine almost everyday. I usually leave it at home or take it off when dealing with infants at work, cleaning, or if I'll be outside for a long time (like during outdoor concerts, zoos, etc.). If I'm slumming around for the day, it probably won't make it on my finger either.

I love your eternity band as a stand alone piece. I think you should where the enternity band on one hand and the engagement on the other. Especially in the 3 carat size range I think the ring should stand alone. IMO

I agree with everyone else that you should go into the Jewelry stores and try on everything and see what you like best. I was dead set on getting a square shape engagement ring and than when I tried on a round I fell in love with the sparkle of it.

My ring is about 2 1/2 carats and I wear it all the time except when I do charity work with the poor, trying to get a deal on prices or when I shower. Again I live in Greece so rings aren't normally this large, however when I am in New York I never take it off.

I pay a lot for insurance for the ring so I feel like I should wear it all the time.

Mine is a small one so I never take it off, no need to. I wear it behind my wedding band to keep it safe. It gets caught on stockings and scarves all the time and I'm always thinking "I should take it off" but I never do.

One thing you might want to consider if your looking for a new setting is having your ER set in platinum. Since the light reflects off yellow gold, it will tend to make the diamond appear more yellow, where platinum will make the diamond more white. Platinum will also stand up to everyday wear and tear. I had my engagement ring reset in platinum after i nearly lost the diamond due to the how soft yellow gold can be and I could not be more happy with the decision.
