I’ve always appreciated the fact that birkins go so well with athleisure outfits. It’s not for everyone, but where I live it’s very very acceptable and considered a norm. It’s always been so normal to me until I read articles/posts sort of throwing shade to celebrities/media personalities for doing it. 
okay maybe the himalaya is a bit too much. But now I wish I had paparazzi photos of me carrying a birkin in athleisure clothes.

I love to wear my Hermes bags casually with everyday outfits. It makes me feel happy to carry something special. IMO, Birkins are super versatile for almost any occasion outside of formal events.

Seconding the athleisure comment! I carry my Birkins while wearing athleisure all the time. If I’m not at work or social plans I’m usually in head-to-toe black athleisure so the birkins add a fun pop of color. Mine are 35s and I usually carry them completely open, so it’s a very casual vibe overall.
It’s a tote so…
I just wear it as I would wear any other tote
However when I travel I’d never carry a huge bag…

Thanks for sharing this link. I love her whole look and she is my style inspiration. I remember Vera wang photographed with her oversized birkin in a vogue video shoot and thought it looked fantastic too. While a great pic, in reality this oversized bag works only if you are flying private or in first (where you can bypass the waits in queue at terminals for security or border control) or by car. It must be a heavy bag to lug around all filled up and would get so dirty so quickly coming into contact with luggage bins etc
@Suncatcher - totally! I’d use a large birkin only as an overnight bag or maybe a weekend away. Obviously it would be a heavy burden on a flight, - but even pre pandemic I did most of my traveling by train. It’s easy enough in Europe.

I check everything in apart from a small cross body bag with passport, card and phone…

I agree with Birkins and active wear! I wear them all the time and my Bs (and my Ks retourne) go perfectly with them. I have a very casual lifestyle and the Bs fit my lifestyle.
I feel like I could wear my K with casual and dressy outfits because the color goes well with a lot. Bs definitely lean more casual to me and I really like them against a neutral athleisure outfit but I mean I wouldn’t take one to the actual gym, which is kind of funny
I also find that with Kelly I can dress casual as well as dressed up, but Birkin only in casual outfits.
