I use Pucci too! The quality is much better than Hermès. I have an old scarf that I've used as my "cheapo" scarf compared to Hermès. And it still looks brand new. My Hermès silk scarf already had a thread pull before I used it the first time, so I don't expect much from the silk department.

Well since you ask ,I must say that in India you get what you call Kashmir silk shawl and the quality is much better than H silk ,soft ,smooth and does not snag .I guess that is why I dont buy my scarves from H.

i have been curious about kashmir thank you for feedback. Im going to check them out

I love the abstract designs of pucci and am drawn to them far more than I am drawn to Hermes. Also Pucci makes a lot of oblong scarves which I prefer to the sizes available from H. Also have a few pucci cashmere shawls (love), one LV cashmere and several Missoni knits....

Well, i am surprised, always thought Hermes was the best!! Could we do a poll - like if you think Hermes is best then it goes first and second best brand goes next - I'm saying this but i dont know how to do it. It would just be great to know about other brands and their quality of silk which is obviously important as is design. Would anyone be interested - but how could we do it?

Nice question knapsu! I wear quite often my Loro Piana scarves and shawls. I find them very similar to Hermès quality-wise. Loro Piana scarves are plain and simple, but I love how H uses so many different prints and cw's.. To me H scarves are pieces of art!

My mother gave me my first H scarf when I was at university and I haven't really bought other brands since. I did get some pashmina shawls back when they were all the rage, and I have the LV leopard Sprouse because - dare I say it? :sweatdrop: - I felt it draped more nicely than the Leoleila.

I have a Thomas Wylde scarf that I love and am coveting an Alexander McQueen mousse that is TDF at Saks....There is a vintage LV animal print scarf I'm hoping to see at the antique flea market this Sunday, but I hesitate because I can't guarantee the authenticity (even though the seller SWEARS it's real...)

I have dozens upon dozens of scarves and wear one almost everyday. I never really got into H scarves until one day...

Since then, I've only managed to acquire 2 (and I have a 3rd on the way to me) and I find myself not wanting to wear any of my others anymore.

*sigh*
