I’ve never sold any of my LV items. Some I have eventually gotten round to, or ended up finding useful as circumstances change, or I simply just like looking at. I think a big barrier to me wanting to sell is knowing how much prices go up, eg I got my PSM in the WT when they redesigned the zip and haven’t used it that much, but it’s so cute and has already gone up a fair bit since I bought it. I’ve got too many bags really so ideally should sell some but I’m also put off by the hassle/risk of selling like being ripped off, or even just sellers remorse. If I start to cull my collection I’d probably just gift one or two to my mum.

I've sold quite a few of my LV items over the years, usually because I bought an item because I loved how it looked, but in reality it turned out not to be practical for me. I have some regrets -- mostly regarding SLGs actually. I had a beautiful illustrated passport holder from the days when the LE silkscreened items were beautifully made and had stunning illustrations. I sold that for probably slightly less than what I paid, and I hadn't even used it. I don't need a passport holder; when I travel I use a zippy organiser, and I would never use a passport holder, but still, it was so beautiful! I also had a cosmetic GM in Damier Ebene which is now discontinued. The shape is completely impractical for me and I rarely used it, it mostly sat looking pretty, but now that I've sold it, I would have to pay an obscene amount to get a used one that wouldn't be in perfect condition like the one I sold. I get much more use out of my toiletry pouches, but I still miss that cosmetic GM. In terms of bags, I have sold quite a few of those too, and I did love them, but for me if I haven't used an item for a long time, or if I constantly reach for another bag instead, it's time to let it go. I had a Monogram Keepall 45 years ago, but I always used my DE Keepall Bandouliere 45 instead. I also added a Speedy B 40 to my collection, so the Monogram 45 went. I had a DE Sac Plat which was gorgeous (loved the red microfibre interior!) but I always used my DE Cabas Beaubourg much more and they both served the same purpose for me. Other bags I loved for a while but then I stopped using them -- Olav GM (just preferred other smaller, less boxy bags), Reporter PM (loved the style but found other smaller bags more practical), Sac Squash (loved this too, but lusted after a Bosphore Messenger GM which I eventually found in great shape). Mostly my regret when it comes to bags is that I have let go older styles which were considerably better made than anything Vuitton offer currently, while costing considerably less!

I am definitely not a collector of bags. I keep a very small collection (probably 5-6 at most). When I had my two daughters (they are now 6 and 5) I ended up selling virtually all my nice bags because I was using a baby bag for almost 4 years straight. Once we no longer needed a baby bag I started buying a couple of nice bags again for 'me'. I really only keep what I use and have become much more selective on what I buy. I don't have the type of lifestyle to have display cabinets with bags in sadly.

I've sold a few bags, with no regret. But I feel like I have a fairly curated collection of bags that can stand the test of time. If I don't reach for them, I don't want them taking up space.

I am the exact same way. My collection is small and fits to my lifestyle, since it’s small I enjoy each one for its purposed use. I sell bags I’m not using, I only keep items in my life that serve me in the present.
LV collection have 7 bags, have total of 8 handbags, one from Cult Gaia. Thinking of reducing it further, since I’m enjoying 5 out of 8 more.

It is so hard to predict future and my own tastes. I only sold one bag Alma BB mono, and I do not regret it.
I want to sell my Pochette Metis reverse and Toiletry 26 as I don't use them anymore. But I may regret it in the future.

My collection is not very large (3 LV, 2 Gucci, and 1 Fendi) but currently I use them all. I have sold off bags of other/cheaper brands to fund new purchases and also because I really was not using them anymore. When it comes to any item in my closet be it clothes, shoes, bags, etc. I really hate seeing them sitting there unused. The only LV item I sold was a DE Mon Tresor Wallet and I do not miss it at all. That being said if I have the slightest concern that I will regret getting rid of something, I keep it and revisit the issue in 6 months.

Usually I have a bag for a little while and then I get bored and sell it. That of course has come with some regrets (pochette accessoires). But there are so many bags I would like to get and then that will leave others unused. Just wondering what others do. Like I have a Vintage Petite Noe that I never use.....but when I think about selling it, I feel like it's such a bad idea because I'll never be able to buy it back for what I purchased it for. Same with my Neverfull.
Just wondering what others do....if you have a bag you never use do you just "save" it as part of your collection or pass it one and update?
Just look at it this way, you will never get back what you spent on it to begin with. Especially if you go through places like Fashionphile. You'd be better off selling it directly yourself on eBay. That's what I always did.

I have the large Noe and can't imagine selling it. I just had the full vachetta replaced and it looks amazing! Like a brand new bag. If that's the issue with your petit noe, perhaps think about getting the vachetta replaced as well. It'll bring new life to your bag, and I guarantee you'd love it all over again. If not, then consider using it before you get rid of it. Believe me, you might regret it down the road.

How much does it cost to do this out of interest? I have a speedy I'd love to have the vachetta replaced on.

Considering there is a lot of vachetta on the Noe, I was surprised it was only $660. They initially quoted me $960, so I was really happy when it was $300 cheaper than the original quote. I'm sure the Speedy will be considerably less since there isn't a lot of vachetta on the Speedy. Took 3 months.

I have about 20 bags - LV, Coach, and Chloe mostly with a few no-name. It's more than I can rotate through on a regular basis but I still can't part with any. Even if I only use some occasionally, I'm ok with that. I like to baby my bags so I like that each gets used a little here and a little there. Some are used more frequently as they're my work bags/work horses. My NF's and Petite Noe are the most used for these purposes. My Epi Alma BB and the Chloe's get used a little less frequently. Ditto my smaller Coach bags as I've been gravitating toward the larger bags lately.

Anyhoo - I guess the long and short of it is that I don't really sell - I just add. But I do try to be judicious with new purchases as a result. I have one or two bags (no name) that I'm considering giving to my BFF's daughter.
