It's been 2+ years since this thread was started! It's still very much relevant imo.

I don't know, I feel that what is generally understood as luxury has become too arbitrary due to influencers, blogs, etc.

I think that in the next few years we will see a shift away from luxury goods that are always available and high-frequency design and seasonal changes towards luxury in the form of high-quality goods with excellent service.

Maybe that's just my hope?

its my hope too. I was never into 'luxury' as such, more into craftsmanship and good design. it's one of the reasons I detest fake bags and so called replicas. No matter how well made, (and most of them aren't) there is no design. Essentially its a stolen product.

Luxury will always be relevant to a certain demographic. Whether it will include premier big brands varies according to one’s definition

I think we will need luxury designer items for a while, I feel good when I wear in luxury items, be it handbags, or accessories, even a luxury designer scarf, and people certainly notice these luxury items even in neighborhoods gatherings.
