Do you take your wedding ring off??

I often will either remember or not remember to put on my rings. I work in IT, handle servers, heavy equipment and often don't want to damage what I've got or have it catch on anything so often I just won't wear my rings to work.

maybe you need to leave bigger hints? men are notoriously poor-sighted when it comes to seeing the hints we leave all around them. it's really a favor to make them nice and big, so they don't trip over them or stub their toes.

mine went something like this:
  • 7th anniversary - 'honey, remember you only have three years left to save for my 10-year anniversay band!'
  • 8th anniverrsary - 'honey, remember you only have two years left to save for my 10-year anniversay band!'
  • 9th anniversary - 'honey, remember you only have one year left to save for my 10-year anniversay band!'
  • 9 years and six months - honey . . . well, you get the idea.

I told my DH i would like an eternity ring for our 5th anniversary (next year), a while ago and he said he would buy me one when he wanted to buy me one, which means don't hold your breath :s But thanks for the advice.

:roflmfao: Very funny E!
When I get home I usually just put it all in the jewelry box until I go out again.

constantly - it scares away all the cute men in the bars. :p

ok, serious now - i take off all jewelry when working with the horses, and i don't wear rings (or pearls) swimming (cool water shrinks fingers and makes it easy to lose a ring).

The only time I take the wedding/e-ring off is if I am excercising and it involves weights. I don't want to scratch up the band on a curl bar and the fingerless gloves don't protect rings. Oh, and I usually remove it if I have to change out a tire. Losing my rings on the side of the road is *not* appealing at all. Otherwise, I don't normally consider removing them - they're almost an extension of my skin. I rinse them and try to keep them reasonably clean day-to-day & drop by the jewellers now and then for polishing if the bands start looking dull.

My hubby is more likely to remove his when he is working around the house because he is more prone to pinching his skin with some of the tools he uses.
