Do you take your wedding ring off??

I would be so mad if I wore my ring all the time and something happen to it. It cost a lot of money and was made just for me. So I can't go buy the same ring.

I don't wear rings at home either. I only put jewelry on when I am going out of the house.

I take mine off the second I get home, along with my bracelet and watch, lol. I store them immediately in my jewelry box.

-Same here; when I am out and about I don't 'feel' them, but when I get home, I don;t like the feel of hardware onme, LOL. Plus, I have large, energetic dogs that siometimes jump on me, so I DEFINITELY don't want to be wearing any kind of hoop earrings. I have seen and heard horror stories of ripped holes!

All very interesting replies. I just know i would never feel happy taking mine off, which is why i had a simple band. I would however love a full Eternity ring with diamonds, i keep dropping hints :graucho: but hubby never picks em up

I take mine off to shower or work out other than that it is on my hand (even when sleeping). Mine is somewhat large and I also wear 2 bands with it. Even given the size I wear is constantly since I feel naked without it

DH has not and will not take his off since our wedding day! He got me a cartier Love cuff that stays on me all the time

maybe you need to leave bigger hints? men are notoriously poor-sighted when it comes to seeing the hints we leave all around them. it's really a favor to make them nice and big, so they don't trip over them or stub their toes.

mine went something like this:
  • 7th anniversary - 'honey, remember you only have three years left to save for my 10-year anniversay band!'
  • 8th anniverrsary - 'honey, remember you only have two years left to save for my 10-year anniversay band!'
  • 9th anniversary - 'honey, remember you only have one year left to save for my 10-year anniversay band!'
  • 9 years and six months - honey . . . well, you get the idea.

ITA!!!
I did something similar, by the time year 9 came, DH decided to do it as a surprise a year before our 10th!
You pretty much have to write it on a banner and hang it in front of most men.

I've got a pretty strong & substantial custom floral platinum band that I wear every day, every minute of the day. I only take it off if I apply hand lotion or clean it.

I planned on having a ring that I could always wear whether I was at work, working out, & one that wouldn't snag on my clothing, or scratch my baby's skin while putting on his diapers or clothing.

I just wanted my wedding ring to fit into my active lifestyle as well as my personality :flowers:
