Yes, but I figure as far as addictions go, it's safer/healthier than alcohol, gambling, meth or internet porn!
I may get some hate mail for this but I disagree with your above statement. Addiction is addiction. There is no such thing as a safer/healthier one. Addiction, regardless if someone is addicted to alcohol, gambling, meth, internet porn, or
bag---still has serious consequences. If it reaches a point where an individual is not in control (in a compulsive or obessive state that she does not have the ability to knowingly stop and resist)
and it disrupts her life to the point she can't maintain healthy relationships with others and/or she can't be productive at school/work because it consumes so much of her time, thoughts, and energy; reaches a point where the person is constantly lying, begging, borrowing, cheating, and stealing to have it; displays bad personality & behaviorial changes dramatically when she does not get it---then there is a serious problem. Just like most addictions, there is a financial consequence to it. One could go into serious debt. It may start off with delayed or missed bill payments, having bad credit, losing possessions (a house or car) or possibly migrating to filing for bankruptcy protection. In a downward spiral, she could develop stress, insomnia, low self-esteem, depression, or become safety risk to herself. :sad2:
So, yes, one that consumes a lot of bags may have a lesser risk of developing liver problems than one that consumes a lot of alcohol. However, the bigger picture is still the same for all---consuming too much of something is not safe and healthy for anyone physically, psychologically, emotionally, and financially.
Bottom line, enjoy your bags (or anything for that matter) in moderation.
