Do You Shop For Handbags Alone, or With a Group of Friends, Partner, etc?

Currently, I only purchase Bottega Veneta bags. Often, my SA will contact me about something she thinks I’ll like. Sometimes I let her know I’ll be stopping by when I’m in town. (I live 3 hours away). I have two BV buddies and will shop with them if they’re available, but both still work and I’m retired. So, I often shop alone. On occasion, I just have items sent to me so I can decide without driving over.

Alone.

I always feel that I’m judged (or will be judged) even when I’m with a bunch of consenting females.

Example, I bought a chanel mini with my aunts. They both oohed and ahhhed and approved it on me. They even told me I should get it when I was hesitating because of the price point. So I bought it and all was happy... until months later when I hear thru the grapevine that my aunts had been telling people that I bought another bag AGAIN. And that I buy EVERY bag. Haha. Live and learn.

I prefer shopping alone (not just with bags.) I find that with friends, we usually end up chatting which equals to casual browsing and not paying attention to details. Plus my friends aren't that into bags so if they're with me, I cannot shop properly as I will feel like I'm wasting their time. I think they don't mind but I would feel bad. Shopping alone is more relaxing and I can look around at my own pace and time.
Totally agree.

With my husband. He is a star and my number 1 enabler. He also got me 2 of my bags last year just because. My mum and sister like their bags too but live on a different continent. My mum has slowed down lots and is not as interested anymore. My sister loves Gucci, I prefer Chanel so we compliment each other but don't get to shop together.
