Do you love a bag your family hates?

Luckily my family has no say whatsoever as to which bag I carry:cool:

I learned my lesson years ago while dating my dh....I worked as a shoe buyer for Nordstrom and came home with TONS of shoes that I loved and he always had an opinion. I learned early on that I wore those shoes for me, not for him so unfortunately for him....his opinion never mattered!!!!
I feel the very same way about my handbags....I'm the one carrying them, not him. So I go with my taste.

My DH doesn't usually say anything about my bags. He calls my Bal Day "purple". It's actually dark periwinkle or medium tanzanite. My dad loves the color, but made no comment on the style. My dad loves my Chloe Marcie crossbody. My mom has made it clear that she doesn't like canvas, only leather. I have an LV Verona MM and an LV mono Speedy 30. She doesn't get that the Verona can be carried in the rain, no problem, and that the Speedy goes with any brown. If nothing else, they are practical. She loves my Chloe and my Bally bag. She also loves a hand tooled bag I got from Novica. Anyway, I buy bags because I love them, not to please anyone else.

My boyfriend hates my monogram bags. I don't blame him because I kinda think they look tacky, too. I didn't really care what he thought until we were out shopping one day (with my monogram LV) and every other woman in the store we had gone to had the same print. I hate to say this, but I felt like a walking cliche and I told him that. :shame:

I've since sold off most of my monogrammed items, with the exception of a couple of LVs (although I've replaced some with Damier print, which I think is "monogrammed" but a little better than the generic "LV") and a Gucci. I love those bags a little too much to get rid of them. :D

DH supports and loves whatever I buy. DD only likes the Chanel, Dior & Prada in my collection but she's young so she's still in that "brand is the most important thing" stage. LOL!

Beyond that, at most I get compliments here and there. I don't really have a personality that allows for nosy, inappropriate comments on any aspect of my life. 😄

DH hates my mulberry double zip - he thinks it's too boxy and too big. Too bad I need it to for work stuff!
His favourite is my Chanel boy - which suites me just fine! [emoji108]🏻[emoji108]🏻

My boyfriend hates my Alexander Wang Rocco. He says he doesn't understand why there are so many studs on the bottom. But he has terrible style to begin with, so I really don't care what he thinks.

I have noticed that men don't seem to like any of my bags with studs, my son thinks a white canvas bag with rainbows and unicorns would look better...
