Toe rings and anklets bug me so much! I have never had a comfortable one other then the bright multicolor one I made from thread in high school. I guess I am not used to it. They look alright on other people most of the time. I do get annoyed when I see a women with an anklet on and hose over them!

When I wore hose while working & very rarely in the past 5 years, the bracelet was on top. I never occurred to me to wear hose over the bracelet. I would think it would be uncomfortable.

You'll see it a lot in here (Hawaii) whether it is cheap (hemp, brass, etc) or luxe metals. We run around in shorts and slippers, so it's just more opportunity for decoration. I can't do it because I'm a klutz and I'd break it.

Hawaii is such a special place..near and dear to my heart (Maui).
There are so many things that fit there that would look slightly out of place on the mainland....like tribal band tattoos on guys. For some strange reason, while I am not generally a fan of tattoos ( or anklets) , both seem wonderfully right in the island setting.
Can't wait to go back....

I would love to wear an anklet but I remember wearing one when I was younger and it fell off. So I'm kind of worried to do so again, maybe I'll try it for the summer. :)

I've been wearing an anklet for 10 years and its like a part of me. I love wearing a toe ring also because I have very beautiful feet and love to accent them. Actually my bf has a major feet fetish, my ex had it too, so it's a big turn on.

my style is pretty classic...so that said, I have to say that I have an off white shell type ankle bracelet that I sometimes put on in the summer...I think it looks cute..just depends on what im wearing and what Im doing...and also how tanned Iam...:)

I used to wear a toe ring when I was younger, like late teens, and sometimes I look at my toes and miss it, but at 39 now, it just seems not quite right to me. If I was to wear one again, which is unlikely anyway, I'd want a top quality one. The ones I used to wear were sterling, I'd be more interested in either a white gold one or platinum. Maybe even rose gold. But yeah.... Nah :smile1:

I know it's an old thread, but it's a subject dear to me. I love wearing anklets! I've worn them continually for what must be nearly 11 years now and have quite a collection, even a few large size gold bangles that I've had reshaped by a jeweller so they'll fit comfortably around my ankles.

I wear a rhodium plated sterling silver toe ring in the summer since I live in sandals lol I love anklets but I haven't found one I like enough to wear although I could probably make my own now that I think about it lol
