Majorly!! Extreme winter is new to me. I loathe winter gear, i.e. the layer, the chunky snow boots, the thick gloves and hats. In weather like this I can't dress up therefore no need for my my beautiful shoes nor bags. I don't mean to sound superficial and that I only live for these things, but these things do lift my spirit up, they do make me feel good...does anyone understand?

I wish I COULD get winter depression, its always too damn sunny here...is it possible to get summer depression?

In any case, bags usually help me in the short term with any kind of depression or tragedy.

JFYI, I'm not stalking you...

Are you kidding me? Don't complain about your Hawaian weather, trust me you don't want to be in -40C (with windchill).

 Dont worry, I didnt think you were stalking :D Its nice to talk to people in different threads.

I've been in relatively cold weather before and I have to say, I like it a LOT more than being HOT. Not sure I'd want to be in -40C like you said, but I'd welcome a slightly colder climate :D

It depends what you consider summer clothes. Right now we are having a cold front, so our nights are in the 40's and days are in the 60's - low 70's. So, for florida natives, sweaters are required. The point is, your used to your weather, and i'm used to mine, so it's kind of the same effect. I'm used to 90 and up, beach weather, so these temps always kill me, right now I'm battling the flu. :sad2:

lol i have family in marco island (on the west coast of FL) and being from nj its so odd to see everyone bundled up when its 75 or below... I went down last febuary and it was around 72 and i saw a woman with a fur coat  but once you're down there for a while u get very used to the hottness and 70s starts to feel cold lol strange

But i do get the winter blues... but not really this year because so far jersey has been pretty mild... and we're expecting a storm on saturday so i'm kinda excited lol i love snow it brightens up the winter.. but to get rid of my depression i go tanning once in a while ( i have a tanning bed in my basement so its easy for me) and of course i do shop a lot more lol but then again i shop a lot in the summer to escape the heat...i think the basic point it... i shop A LOT lol

I'm really waiting for summer... during winter it seems that all the energy is sucked from my body and all I want to do is hibernate

And the worst part is I can't even shop... I really need to save up because I'm going to New York and Las Vegas with my friend in July :smile1: I'm looking forward to it, I can get bags and all I can't get from here, but I'm not good at saving money :shame:

I was so depressed during October-November last year. The only thing that kept me sane was buying handbags. I have accumulated most of my collection at that time.

i hate winter clothes, they're not at all comfortable to me, so i end up wearing sweats the majority of the time, which makes me feel dumpy and ugly all the time, which leads to winter depression...i can't wait until warm weather!

i can't wait until warm weather so i can stop freezing my butt off! like you i despise long pants (except extremely comfortable jeans) but i can't stand sweats anymore which means i wear my mini skirts to school in 30 degree weather! :D

lol i do the same thing...i get to a certain point where i just CRACK and i would rather freeze than wear another pair of ugly pants!

It really helped to see that almost everybody has the winterblues.
KK: I don't think you are superficial. I hate too when all my nice shoes and bags have to sit in the cupboard for 6 months. I actually count the days to May 1rst because than it doesn't snow anymore. It's weird to spend Easter in a bloody iglu!
