Hi, I really enjoyed reading this thread but saw something referred to as BdC, which I couldn't understand. Probably a silly question.
It’s not a silly question. It stands for Baton de Craie. I was told that it refers to the closure which resembles a stick of chalk. Craie is also the name of a color. This clutch is a Baton de Craie style in the color craie.

Reviving this chat cos I’ve gotta black tie dinner to attend, and I was contemplating if my mini Kelly 20 can be considered a clutch if I remove the strap? I was contemplating bringing my croc K25 but I think it might be too big for a black tie? Alternatively, I do have a Chanel clutch. Thoughts? Thank you :)

Either the Chanel clutch or mini Kelly would be perfect! What style is the clutch may I ask?

I’d put on the outfit I planned to wear and try each of your options. Choose the one that feels most appropriate.
