Do you find yourself going for something signature or more discreet?

i think with age comes a desire to not have the signature pieces.
but, hey, i'm 21- gimme the signature!
and i know my new red one is much more discreet than my khaki signature. and i like that, too. :)

I would have to agree that as one gets older one would want more understated pieces. However, I guess I'm a rebel as in my late 30s I've wanted to go from understated to more bags with a little pop and flash but still in good taste. Ergo, I now have Coach signature, LV mono and a zucca B. Fendi  . Midlife crisis? If so, it's all good. :yahoo:

XXXOO.

I'm 21 & love the signature but I do eventually want to get an all leather bag just haven't found the right one I loved all the leather legacies from last year. But the prices were too outrageous for me. So I'm still searching unless of course I found a daphne at the outlets for no more than $300.00.

I really love signature bags. I'm not sure if it's something I just need to get out of my system, but I do think about how "out there" they can be. I love the super large C's on totes because I think of them a lot like patterns they are, but yeah definitely they are proclaiming the bag they are. Since everyone's saying their age, I'm 21, haha. So maybe it's something to get out of your system if you are initially a signature kind of girl. Quality and designer bags are new to me as of about 2 months ago, for one thing!

I don't mind the signature pattern, although it does depend upon the style of the bag. I think the majority of Coach's sig pats are discreet (ie. the chocolate brown suede bag with the slightly embossed C's and the gold trim or the sig pat in black). i'm old school (31) so i'm more concerend if my bag matches my outfit.

Shoot, i still carry my mama zucca so i'm probably not the best person to ask. lol

leather all the way. i see way too many girls in high schools carrying the signature C's, and although i'm only 21, i buy handbags as investment pieces...i don't want to be carrying a similar bag in my 30's as someone in high school! i feel like the leather is more understated and classy, but thats just my humble opinion here. plus i would rather pay for leather than fabric.

I'm 25 and I prefer all-leather bags (always have). Some of their signature pieces are pretty nice, though. In my mind, leather = more expensive-looking and better quality.
