Do you feel comfortable browsing at a LV store even

When I know I'm just browsing but still want to avoid getting hawked at, I usually will tell them that I'm looking to buy a bag in a few wks and then ask for their business card. Usually by then, the SA will become nicer and might even bring out some bags for you to look at.

I looooooove to browse, that's the fun of shopping for me. :amuse:

I'm sure they hate me because I eyeball everything intensely, and I usually do at least three or four laps around the boutique area, checking out everything on the shelves and in the cases. Buying's fun, but I love looking, too! Unless I'm seriously considering buying something, though, I don't ask them to take anything off the shelf or out of the case.

I'm tempted to buy something when I go in so I try to avoid it. But 90% of the time, whatever I want, they don't have so I don't get to buy it. They have to call Neimans to check and even if they do, I have to go all the way down there and buy it there.

My local LV has all the goods behind the counter so NO browsing at all! You have to ask to see anything. But it doesn't stop me from asking to look at something without planning to buy it.

I went today and checked out a Monogram Denim Bandana and then went home and bought it off eBay!

I love browsing round shops, but I do feel pressured when in designer shops to buy something, cause the sales assistants can be quite bad for staring! I try to avoid browsing in LV unless im intrested and would like some information or im going to purchase something.

I window shop all the time @ LV. I have bought a few bags from the same SA so she always says hello when I go in and asks me what I want to look at. I never feel pressured at all and some other SAs do stare but I don't really care. I have every right to browse.

I browse guilt free
Way to go, weisone!

:noworry: Absolutely, I'll browse away. I may buy, I may not. What do I care what some sales person thinks? If hurried or treated snottily, I'll linger longer and purchase nothing, even if there's something I do intend to get. It's when I am left to my own devices, free to have a leisurely look around that I tend to buy, not when they pounce and pester and hover...who needs that?

It's funny that you mention it, Virgo, because sometimes I feel uncomfortable browing LV in the boutiques unless I am specifically there to buy something. Occasionally, the SAs make me feel unwelcomed if I am just trying things on (in certain stores.) They either try to pressure me into buying something, or snub me when they figure out that I am not going to commit to a purchase at that moment. Not to sound like a ***** or anything, but I know more about the different lines of LV than many SAs, and they have no business treating me like that. I am confident, well dressed, put-together, articulate, I never go in looking like a scumbag, I certainly have the money to spend, and I would hope they could tell by my appearance that I am not there to shoplift. But some of them have to cop an attitude, and it just turns me off! They work in a retail store for Christ's sake--they aren't designing alongside Marc Jacobs. Why the superiority complex?

Sorry for the rant. So, getting back to the original question-- yes, I tend to avoid browsing in certain LV stores unless I am there to make a purchase.
