no, i love my bags and have actually sold my gold and bought a new bag. But then again, I don't wear jewelry (I don't believe watches are included as they are functional time pieces :amuse:).

I spent my money on jewelry first. Nothing out of this world but I have a lot of gold/platinum and silver. Now I am into bags. Not into jewelry as much now but I will be buying some diamond rings in the future.

No... no jewelry I really like is a couple thousand bucks like a Chanel bag is. Sadly, I have grandiose tastes when it comes to jewelry... I never went crazy buying handbags, so I don't feel like I could've invested that money in jewelry anyway.

ETA: Not that I have any grand jewels...! Just saying that I cannot afford the ones I want even if I did stop buying handbags.

I love 22-24K jewelry (Gold from India--Gold that Indians wear--I just LOVE IT). 5 years ago, it was VERY reasonable~now it's worth a mint:cloud9:I'm just now getting into bags--last night...I DREAMED about handbags last night.

I think gold and precious gems are a better investment than handbags, but that's just me. I think about if times get REALLY hard (like in the GReat Depression or something like that):wtf:, trying to trade a gorgeous Gucci or LV bag vs a 24K gold ring or necklace for a piece of bread....I think someone will happily take the jewelry before a super expensive bag--but maybe not! :woohoo:

Ah, this sounds so familiar. I have a few less expensive statement pieces I like, but most of the stuff I lust after = $$$

i've always been more of a jewelry person but i only buy certain classic pieces. i don't have a lot of bags or a huge jewelry collection but i have what i need and wanted. mostly i have diamonds tho.

yes!

i still love my lv, chanel, and hermes bags....but i'm loving jewelry and watches much more right now. i just bought two rolex watches and am in the process of buying a J12 (or two, still undecided). right now bags are no longer my obsession, jewelry and watches is.

Yes! I look at my Hermes bags and I feel a bit sick when I add up how much I've spent on them, and knowing that the money could have bought me some really nice pieces of jewellery instead.

I'm like dari. I switched from bags to jewelry and watches. But I also have two rolexes and one j12 so I'm done with watches. I'd like the WG Love Cartier bracelet and an e-ring upgrade. I'm being really good at not buying anymore LV!
