Do you ever feel like selling some of your LV collection-but don't?

I have a very bad habit. I purchased, put in my closets, forget about it, then realized I had too much bags and need to sell. Few weeks later, I realized I made a mistake and miss the bag and bought the same bag. It happened many times and I know I am loosing lots of money. I just bought 2 neverfull in May in June and both because of FOMO when they say it will be gone. I love neverfull style, this time I will keep them forever. Don’t be like me. Think twice before buying and selling. Especially with the routine price increase, trust me, not worth buying neverfull in 2023 when you already have it since few years bag. I even had the first neverfull launched back when I was travelled to Paris. They just put it on sale that morning. Yes. I have lots of regrets on my bag stories. :crybaby:

yep! I have two glitter bags from Virgil's SS22 collection, and one of them I don't use while the other I've used twice, I think. They're beautiful and I love them, but I go back and forth all the time about wanting to sell them because they're just sitting there.

Yes, I definitely want to sell some of my LV bags as I have no real use for them. But they are still sitting in my closet doing nothing. It is very stressful for me to sell expensive items. I have managed to sell exactly one LV bag this year and it was 1 week of anxiety as DHL thought it is totally cool to take 6 days for delivery (usually it takes max. 3 days!). I just don't have the nerves for this, yikes .

I have sold 4 LV bags and an LV wallet and have absolutely no regrets. In fact I was relieved when they sold and I got paid for them lol. 2 of the bags were sold to a friend and the others to a local consignment shop.
I did almost sell my Amarante Alma PM in Monogram Vernis but felt hesistant. And the owner of the consignment shop told me if I was hesitant to keep it and not sell it. Glad she did because that one I would have regretted selling.
I am satisfied with my collection, and tbh there is no other bag I am interested in purchasing

Thank you for that. I may just sit tight and hold off before I buy anything else. As much as I want that other NF on FF, I may just wait. Not sure yet. I'll post if I do end up getting it.
@Pop Art Suzy I remember you wanting the Stephen Sprouse one. But honestly if it was too big and you weren't using it, I understand you selling it. You got great money for it so I am happy for you:smile:

That feels so good to read!
I am on my way to this satisfaction and not wanting to sell or buy anything.

But I still have to re-purchase some of the bags I deeply regret selling and check 2-3 things of my wishlist.

And since I cannot just hit “add to bag” as much as I want, I have to plan it wisely… :hrmm: in order to avoid paying even more than I have to, or worse: jumping through hoops to get something, because LV wants us to be waitlisted or discontinues the Azur canvas or raises prices or whatever…:yucky:

Don't sell unless you are 1000% sure. Even then… you can always fall back in love. Happened to me more than once.

Agree! So far I don't regret selling it back, but I have my eye on a few NF's on FF, so we shall see what happens. They're the MM, so a lot smaller than the GM. Or I may just get that Balenciaga instead lol.

No, I don't. I do have one LV bag I NEVER use (which is a shame because its absolutely beautiful) but for numerous reasons I just can't part with it.
I have only 1 LV bag (second hand from 2010) in my collection, and I love it! Do not bear to use it as I am afraid the canvas will be torn. Although it's piping already has some wear but only when you scrutinized then you can see. Its metal hardware color is already wearing off and having lots of scratches on its metal plate. But to me, it still looks rather "new".

I feel bags are so fragile, easily torn, cracked, turned moldy yet LV prices keep escalating, even secondhand pieces are so expensive now. I cannot afford the money for LV.

Therefore, my secondhand LV is in my closet, and I took it out to admire occasionally, fondle its texture and it has that "LV smell" which to me is nice (some said it stinks).

Sometimes I look at my collection of LV's. They are all in pristine condition. I enjoy having them, but sometimes I think I may want to sell some of them. I love them all though. However, I do not think I will actually ever sell any of them. Do you ever feel like selling some of your LV's but never do and never will?
I feel the same. I have some which I will not use, but I am not that attached to. However, beside my collectors heart (I think some of my limited are like art pieces), I really dread selling because you hear more and more about people scamming you.
