Do you ever feel like selling some of your LV collection-but don't?

I haven’t sell any of my LV bags , but some other brands I have. I should sell more, but not LV. The prices are getting higher and higher and I don’t want to regret anything later on. I do have quite a few bags, but I’m a collector at heart, so it doesn’t bother me. I do wish to sell some other bags though, they just have a very low resell value, but at least I would get more space in my closet.

@LVlifer , how long have you owned LV bags? Just wondering since I'm probably an LV dinosaur on this forum compared to IG generation and know I would never find some of my dated pristine pieces in the same condition if I ever sold them. For others, it's like buying and reselling each season, there's no sentimentality....and that's perfectly fine for them, I'm not judging. I just know myself, I'm picky about quality and it's seriously lacking in today's products and I'm leery about buying too much of a new thing because of that. Even the new BTP pieces I recently acquired I'm asking myself if I would keep this in the next year or 2 for that reason!

I have owned LV's since for many decades. I am a "boomer". I am also picky about quality. Sometimes I will look at 5 specimens of a handbag or other LV product before I buy one. It has to "speak to me". I think a few LV's I have are 30 years old. I would never wear those though. In those days i did not think about being careful with my handbags. Now I am the opposite!!!!!

Sometimes I look at my collection of LV's. They are all in pristine condition. I enjoy having them, but sometimes I think I may want to sell some of them. I love them all though. However, I do not think I will actually ever sell any of them. Do you ever feel like selling some of your LV's but never do and never will?
Going through this at the moment with an OnTheGo GM and the new model Artsy that I exchanged last December for my defective Artsy. Both never used but I don’t want the hassle of trying to sell and I only have 8 handbags. I’m sure I’ll use them eventually.

"Do I ever have the urge to sell mine - no.
Why do you want to sell? Not using them?"

I get the "urge' to want to sell some of my LV's. I do not use some of them. But, I think I would be sorry if I actually did sell them.

No, but I deliberately take my time when editing my collection. I keep a list of my bags and SLGs and periodically review them for things I'm not wearing anymore. When I get into a clean out mood (maybe once every year or two), I'll pull them all the items I'm contemplating getting rid of together and put them aside. After leaving them there for another year or two (occasionally going in to review or pull something out), they'll get sold or donated. This gives me time to change my mind while also allowing me to part ways eventually.

The LVs you have that are ~ 30 yrs old, would you consider selling those since you won't carry them anymore ?

I've been contemplating selling my DE Graceful, simply because I'm not in love with the DE print. I love and adore the monogram print, whether it be the classic monogram or reverse monogram. I've also considered selling my DE 6 ring key holder because, again, my heart doesn't beat for the print. However, because I wanted to be have some versatility in my collection, I've kept it.

I actually went ahead and re-sold my Stephen Sprouse graffiti NF back to Fashionphile (along with one of my recent Prada bag purchases), so I hope I don't end up regretting it since I longed for that bag for so long, but I just wasn't using it because of how big it was. I felt like it was such a waste to sit on it when I can get $2100 back from FF, so I jumped on it. There's another MM NF that I'm eyeing from them as well, for the same cost that I'm getting back. I may just get that one instead. I'll wait and see if it's still available by the time I receive my payment from them.

I hope you find something else that you love just as much! That was a beautiful bag but I totally understand what you mean!
