I find I don't really find it a compelling argument that makes me want to buy a bag any more than I already do just to have it (since I never buy a bag thinking I'm going to sell it). But, if I know there's no resale value then it makes me really think about if I want it since I know I'll have to eat the investment if it doesn't work or I tire of it.
Another (related) question: would you rather buy a preloved premier bag in good condition,or a brand new contemporary bag --if all other 'does the particular style get me excited ' aspects are equal....? There's the cache with premier designer branding of course which clearly puts a bounce in some people's step----and if you buy preloved and one day sell, you may not lose much at all in the big picture for having owned it. The brand new three digit price tag is a lot easier to budget in initially, but you may have to eat Most of it if you ever resell so the absolute cost of owning may be actually more.
Do you think of this stuff?
