Do you carry your bag on the left or right side?

Which side do you prefer most?

  • Left

  • Right

  • Either side don't matter. I'm comfortable and switch between both.

  • It depends on where I wear it, like my arm, shoulder, hand, etc. Combo of both.

Doesn't it make the most sense for right-handed people to have their shoulder bag on their left shoulder, so if they need something, they can reach in with their right hand?
And of course if it's a clutch or something it would probably feel awkward for a right handed person to hold it in their left hand.
This is what I think, and it applies to me...

I'm a righty and carry my bag on my left, and also wear my watch on my left wrist. I tried carrying on my right, and watch on my right but it just felt uncomfortable.

pk..this is so weird, but I noticed that I carry my bags on the right shoulder, but if they're hand held I carry them in my left arm..How weird is that?!!:weird:

I'm a lefty and I feel more comfortable carrying my bag on my left shoulder. Sometimes if my bag is heavy or I need to free up my left hand I'll carry it on my right shoulder and it doesn't really bother me.

Shoulder bags I carry on my left side. I'm a righty, so I still have that hand free.

Messenger bags I have the strap on the left shoulder & the bag on the right. I used to do the messenger bags on the right & carry on the left, but since I hurt my right shoulder a few years ago, I had to switch. It still feels strange to me, but I just can't do it the other way anymore.

For hand carry bags if it's on my forearm it's on the left, but if I am actually holding it in my hand it usually on the right.
