Do you carry big bags and not fill them with up with stuff?

Who are you people?

I need daily:

(Personal) phone
Keys
Essential cardholder
(stop :ok: there for popping-out - not even to the local shops coz then I need a shopping bag)

Work phone
Business card Calvi
CC and membership card Calvi
Train pass
Work pass for building
Lanyard/work pass for staff-area
Train discount card
Oyster card (London TFL)
Mini sewing-kit
Tape-measure
Magnifying glass
Lip balm
Silver nail file
iPad and/or laptop
Charger(s)
Eazip GM
Agenda GM
Mask and protective gloves (archival not medical)
Fan
Sunglasses
Umbrella
(book)
Water (carried separately)
Scarf pouch (sometimes scarf)
Sometimes cardigan / sweater
And that's a bare minimum!!
Plus or minus a few things, that is a pretty accurate representation of my bag's contents. At LEAST 2 calvis, 3 Bastia ( so all the various sundries are organized) 1 business cardholder, glasses case for the pair I am NOT wearing....the list goes on and on.
Fortunately, I do not have to carry a laptop as well.
But OMG PT!!! You've forgotten your moisturizer!! :graucho: ( in the pouch with the H lip gloss, please)

Oh, I love this thread and I'm so impressed with so many being able to carry so little.

I fall into the "what if" or "just in case" category of bag filler needing to have bandaids, a mirror, a bag hanger and more for example. In addition, I have to have reading glasses, sun glasses, sunscreen, a pen, wallet, keys, notebook, masks etc, etc.

I'm absolutely loving comically oversized bags right now, so much so that I'm trying to track down a Bolide 45cm! Something in a lighter leather, and just like all my bags, I carry only a wallet, sunglass case, and my makeup bag (which just has lipgloss, gum, car key, blotting papers, and some other tiny/light odds and ends). I never dump a bunch of stuff in my bags, I move the same items from bag to bag and tend to prefer jackets/coats with menswear-style inner pockets for my phone.

I was rewatching some episodes of the original Gossip Girl and noted that everyone, no matter their size or build, carried enormous bags.

I hear you!
I have a 45 bolide relax not just as a travel bag but as a day out shopping in Portobello market bag.
The maximum I put in it aside from anything I'd buy is a kindle, 2 iPhones, comme des garçons wallet and a pouch with a couple of lipsticks in.

I just bought one today, I can't wait to work it into my wardrobe! The leather is a lighter one too, so hopefully weight won't be a problem.

Its probably in Sikkim like mine..its really super light, especially as it has canvas lining.
The listing I purchased just described the leather as "natural," and I should have said the leather "looks" lighter 😅 The description of the leather was probably lost in translation since it was a Japanese site. It is a leather interior bag, too - the leather looks like it's either veau sikkim, chamonix, or vache natural (usually bags that are vache natural are just described as "natural" on Japanese sites). The date code is for 1993; my knowledge of leathers out in each year is a bit limited!

But yes, I am definitely excited to try and coord it! I always feel like oversized bags are particularly cool in winter with a heavy/oversized coat!

Its much earlier than mine where the interior is leather panel like yours then a lighter canvas lining..
I'm sure you'll have fun wearing it.

Your Chamonix bag is beautiful. I too always think a big coat and a big bag looks very "runway", especially if you can tuck the bag in your arms.
