do price increases determine when you purchase?

That is going to look so nice!

Thanks!
I am excited. I love Cartier, but I only have two pieces; my white gold Love bracelet, and a silver ring from ages ago that my mother gave me.
I am going to order tomorrow, my SA confirmed the date of the increase is the 21st of this month. The ring is only going up $100, but still that's saving $100!

Yay! So happy for you . I completely agree, $100.00 dollars is $100.00 dollars, ya know. I am going to have to get mine later in the year. I just got my Love this past weekend, so gotta let my savings breathe! Hehe!

My 40th birthday is coming up in February. I want to treat myself to a Juste Un Clou ring. I know that there is always a price increase... In fact, a price increase is right around the corner!
I spoke to my other half about it, and he seems to think I should wait for my birthday, price increase or no.
How much has the ring gone up since it first came out? I think it was 2012, right?
If I were to buy it, I would have him hold it until my 40th. I obviously would prefer to wait until my actual birthday to buy it... but its already nearly $2300... :(
This is a big purchase for me, so the price is a bit of a concern.
I do tend to have my purchases happen before a price increase... I have a bad feeling it will be quite significant.
Its my money, so of course I can go ahead and buy it whenever I want, but I wanted to hear back about how much the Juste Un Clou has jumped up since its release so I can decide for myself if its worth the price increase to wait or purchase now.
I think this is an issue that reflects one's feelings about money, not about prices per se. I have friends who will not buy anything unless they get some sort of break or discount, whether it is real or imagined. I see price increases as part of inevitable inflation. I don't want my decisions to revolve primarily around money, as I see it only as a means to an end. We all have our own feelings about it, and I don't think there's a right or wrong....I think it's reflective of how we see money and ourselves....and probably reflective of how we grew up.

If you are 100% love the item (and I see you do) then go for it, there's no use in spending extra money for nothing. You can just ask your second half to keep it away from you till your Bday, I often do so.
In all other cases just the same thing, spontaneous purchases are nice, but often budget unfriendly when it comes to jewellery.

Thank you. I agree, it is inevitable, and I feel better picking it up now but I know what you mean about feelings about money. Good points!

I am going to try it on, make sure it is the right size, take a pic, and then he gets to hide it!
