good choice! i am in the same position just the opposite bags. i have and LOVE the reissue and feel like i need a classic flap. i go back and forth and need to just pull the trigger or let it go

I was surprised too! I normally thought that reissues are always very wrinkled but this one is very smooth. Seems to be a lottery.

Dear community,
I know that the title is nuts and that you probably think ‘If you raise the question you don’t ‘need‘ it‘ but hear me out.

Below you can see my collection which basically comprises of all the classics except for the 2.55. Well technically there‘s the WOC but that‘s...well... a WOC.
I tried out the 2.55 in a boutique at the beginning of last year and I loved the look but though ‚it‘s expensive and you don‘t need another bag‘.

Since then I‘ve been thinking about getting it.My thought process is like this: ‘it looked so great,you love the brand, you have the money and it could finish your collection of Chanel classics. Buy before the next increase.’ Basically a no brainer. But then I go on with ‘you have way too many bags, you don’t need another bag, it’s too much money for something adding to your already excessive collection etc.’

I go back and forth like this. Have you experienced a similar situation? Would you just get it if you were in my shoes?

As you said u got already a lot of Chanel bags, how often do u use them ?occasionally or frequently? And if u will own a 2.55 will do u think u use it regularly ? If yes get, and if u will only use it occasionally I would not recommend purchasing it.

Congrats! You will enjoy using it! It’s a great bag...I also Was not sure about the reissue but bought one in Europe while traveling a couple of years back. Then when I started using it, I immediately bought another one second hand. I do think the distressed leather varies but when you find a good one...ahhh!! I love both my reissues and use them more than any of my Chanel bags. I don’t own a classic flap and I don’t have the desire to get one as the reissue is EVERYTHING! Contrary to what most say I believe the reissue, not the classic flap, is the quintessential Chanel bag and any collection is incomplete without this bag!
