More discrete but at the same time very Parisian chic. In Paris in certain arrondissements, most people can recognize it easily as a Chanel. It is THAT iconic!!

It is my most favorite even before the Timeless Classic flap!

I noticed this too.. When I went to Paris, all the Parisians wore reissue 2.55 vs the classic flap.

@Kuschelnudde yes. You need it because it looks really good on you.
It's actually the only classic that I'm missing too and I've been thinking about getting it as well. It looks better on you than me.

I go back and forth like this. Have you experienced a similar situation? Would you just get it if you were in my shoes?

You have a fantastic collection and I understand what you mean. I have this internal dialogue in my head about the 2.55. Sometimes I would like to add it and sometimes I just can't do it because of the creasing and wrinkles (some are worse than others). My rule is if I truly love it, then you must own it! I think you are somewhere in between a strong like and love so maybe you don't need to add it after all? Btw, it looks great on you so maybe you should add it. Lol, Chanel lovers are serious enablers.

You have a wonderful collection and the bag looks great on you!!! Do it, but of course we are Chanel enablers. LOL

The unity of the responses is hilarious, it’s like the devil sitting on my left shoulder. Love it.

Asked my SA whether they still have it in stock and she confirmed that there aren’t any atm but she’ll be on the lookout. I will keep you updated!

I’m still not 100% sure. It’s so expensive! At the same time I know that I am not going to put up with the next increase...

Do you love it? Will you wear it? If you didn't buy it what would you do with the money? If you answer yes to the first two questions and you can't come up with a compelling alternative in response to the third question, then buy it.

I’ve been thinking about this exact bag for months.. Can’t make up my mind as well. It is beautiful and it is classic. And most probably one that gets a lot of wear.
But the price tag is just heavy, and I’m not sure if it’s necessary to have “another cool black bag”
I didn’t buy it two times last year(mainly cause the offered bags weren’t “perfect to me”)
Currently I’m more in a “pass” mood.
No help here :biggrin:
But it suits you well!

same here. I’m a guy and I love 2.55 because it’s understated and it’s Chanel DNA. The only thing that concerns me is the chain. With my frame, I can’t wear crossbody with a jacket on. Maybe try on with/without a jacket on and see what you think.
And yes, you should get it!!! It would not be complete without a 2.55 ;)
