Do I want a 2.55?

Dear community,
I know that the title is nuts and that you probably think ‘If you raise the question you don’t ‘need‘ it‘ but hear me out.

Below you can see my collection which basically comprises of all the classics except for the 2.55. Well technically there‘s the WOC but that‘s...well... a WOC.
I tried out the 2.55 in a boutique at the beginning of last year and I loved the look but though ‚it‘s expensive and you don‘t need another bag‘.

Since then I‘ve been thinking about getting it.My thought process is like this: ‘it looked so great,you love the brand, you have the money and it could finish your collection of Chanel classics. Buy before the next increase.’ Basically a no brainer. But then I go on with ‘you have way too many bags, you don’t need another bag, it’s too much money for something adding to your already excessive collection etc.’

I go back and forth like this. Have you experienced a similar situation? Would you just get it if you were in my shoes?

The 2.55 reissue is absolutely another style...
More discrete but at the same time very Parisian chic. In Paris in certain arrondissements, most people can recognize it easily as a Chanel. It is THAT iconic!!

It is my most favorite even before the Timeless Classic flap!

I cannot make a new thread even though I have been around for a while but had to create another account as I cannot remember the password of my previous account as I had a bad accident with my computer...
Anyways, I heard that Chanel will have a price increase on January 15th 2021!!!
If anyone know anything or is aware of this or do know that this is true, could you please confirm the ‘rumour’ for all of us here are PF ?

I have absolutely gone back and forth with questions like this. For the reissue, I would 100% go for it though. It's my most used Chanel bag and after seeing photos of you on TPF, I think its' edginess is perfect for your style.

Sorry, this is probably not the answer you were hoping for but I do think it's the most usable Chanel double flap

You should definitely purchase a reissue! It’s a beautiful bag! It’s my absolute favorite Chanel bag and I own several classics, boys and 19s. You will not regret it. Good luck with your decision!

I understand this 100%! Instead of thinking of it to complete a collection, I’d focus on if it fits your style - which from the picture I think it does!

(I swear we’re all such enablers here!!)

I would get it as it looks really good on you. If you regret it down the line or don’t use it much you can always sell it. The great thing about Chanel is that it has great resale value. I love your collection by the way!

YES! Go for it! It’s a different from the WOC and I am in the same shoes as you...kind of I have a couple of mini reissue but contemplating on a 226 or 227 please post and share when you do get one
