I personally think the round sparkles more and if possible, I would try to get ones w/only three prongs as it makes them appear bigger than they are. I have these .50 ctw ones (pictured below) from Kwiat and IMO, they look bigger than ones the same size w/four prongs.

This is actually a fact!
Excellent round brilliant cut diamonds have a higher number of facets than a princess cut....giving it more sparkle & fire.

I say round too. My engagement ring is a round cut with diamonds all around the band and it sparkles. Its a classic cut but very popular.

Round - but if you already have both then you probably have a preference for one already? If so go with your own preference, ie the ones that you tend to wear the most

I prefer the round ones; they are always centered correctly. With the princess ones, you never know if one is squared and the other is in a diamond position.

This is definitely a consideration. I have 1.5 ct tw princess cut studs and although I LOVE them, I do sometimes think it'd be nice to have a round pair to avoid this problem.

It comes down to personal style though... for myself, princess is definitely much more "me" than round. And I actually like the fact that they have a more modest sparkle, as it keeps them from looking too ostentatious.

i have 3 total carat weight princess studs and they look significantly smaller than the round studs that I have seen in stores just my vote is to go for the rounds!
