Do Hermes SAs get sales commissions for birkins?

TPF may earn a commission from merchant affiliate
links, including eBay, Amazon, and others

I know this thread has been inactive for a while and I didn't know if I should post a new thread or not, but have the sales commission rules changed? Can someone post the most up to date info of how SAs get commissions if they know? TIA

I was told by a former SA that they do not earn commissions. However, they must achieve certain sales targets.

Wow, that's super offensive.

yeah I can tell that interactions like that were definitely the worst - and fairly common too. but yeah that's how we ended up on the topic of commission on B and K. still though, both the missus and I were shocked to hear that they don't make a commission on the quota bags.

Do you know if quota bags go into this big store quota and then if the store quota is met, the store gets a bonus that gets split with everybody?
This whole Hermes system of who and how someone gets a quota bag is so interesting to me. I think what's also interesting is that some lucky people get offered bags without any purchase history or hardly any.

didn't ask. our SA was sort of just telling us about how people go in the boutiques bragging about how they can afford a B or K without a prior SA relationship or history and say things like "you stand to make a lot of commission from me"
As someone in sales its so demeaning if someone says something like that-as if we dont sell with care and client needs in mind but only to top up our wages.
H S/A are probably like where I work where you have a target and if you make that target you get a bonus-this sort of thing could work in their case as the team has a target-which when reached means they all get commission.
Personally when I shop I find it easy to spot the stores that have staff on individual commission and as a customer I dont like feeling someone is pushy and hungry to make a sale-I like being helped if required and advised as opposed to 'sold to'.
theres a couple of shops/stores (that shall remain nameless) that I now refuse to go in because of pushy sales -and they've not only lost my custom I won't advise any of my friends or clients to shop there either.
